you just have to set your parameters on platforms like gemini. billions get exchanged every day and they don't have to buy in set units. you can sell a lot in a day

You can really do it multiple ways, but that size would probably be done via a private placement. If not, you'd probably send them to multiple exchanges just for liquidity reasons as others have mentioned. People track those types of movements, so it would be known pretty quickly when 1,000 move from a dormant address.

I don't, and wasn't meant personally. Just the username and irony with the benefit of hindsight.

Gemini ain't doing close to billions... 165 million last 24 hours, binance did 4.4 billion in btc volume today.

That 777 guy asserted he could do it in 30 seconds.

I have no doubt (unless he was the greatest troll of all time) that Wiki is sitting pretty, though. God bless him.

If it's an already imported wallet, just move it to coinbase pro and sell it for a stable coin or usdollars.

Prolly take a few days to move to your accounts but it can be done easy.

If you are talking a cold wallet, you will have to download the core(~400gb) and load the wallet in.

Not that hard most of the time. Hell I recovered a wallet from 2016 just the other day and moved it easily.

Just isn't hard but I have been doing it since before wiki.

And wiki was a true believer, smarter than me and held. I only held a very very small amount and most I lost cause I'm a dumbass. If I had my first buy of $100 @ $0.13, I would be sitting pretty just like wiki.

Doesn't really matter what exchange you use, it's all the same type of transaction.

I remember reading all of the back and forth between wiki v Russian and Broke. I always thought Russian and Broke were a little too harsh but ultimately would be on the right side of the debate. I tended to fall to their side. Wiki may end up being wrong about crypto replacing fiat currency, but he is probably going to be really wealthy while possibly being wrong.

Russian and Broke, and the rest of us that leaned their way, have to take the L on this one.

Is wiki wrong though??? You got every country either in the process or or in the infancy of issuing their own stablecoin. Might not be btc, but it is crypto and if I remember correctly wiki never said it would be btc that replaces fiat, he said it would be cryptocurrency.

It actually does, if you're trying to liquidate en masse. Buy walls at small exchanges are smaller I was mining when bitmain dropped their first asic mining machine, the s1. Still have an old s2 laying around, ~1000 watts for 1 TH

Import private key. Literally that simple.

Well at 220 million you can't really do at one chunk anyways with out upsetting the market and I would assume anyone that is pulling out would use cb pro if in US, binanace if not.

And dude that's awesome to have another OG. So you where mining when you could use a normal cpu without having a full rig?

Awesome.

mean, if the guy with the hard drive gets in and has his $220MM worth of bitcoin, can he really convert that much
bitcoin has $70 billion to $100 billion of volume everyday. Yes you can exchange (sell) $220million in a day. $150k even easier. If your account was set up with all your info, you could probably have that into your bank account within a day or two

I've probably owned several hundred BTC at various points. Wish I had all the coins I used on the silk road back in the day. I won the big MTT on sealswithclubs back when BTC first started hitting the 200-300 mark. Would be nice but hindsight is always 20/20.

I dont think it's too late to still get in. It's too late to become a millionaire off of it easily at this point but I'm doing a DCA every 2 weeks and seeing where that goes. It's doing quite well so far.

I wouldn't stop looking. That old means you had to have a file installed on your computer. I would search any old machines for the word wallet and also search old email addresses.

I found an old wallet last week from searching emails.
