I'm up to my damn ears with points right now. I got to get to a burn event soon.

At least Christmas is probably going to provide an opportunity to burn through my 100k ThankYou points.

Have to find a way to kill off the same amount of Avios.

Tell me about it... But this is very tempting.

I'm about to cancel my CSP and Amex Platinum to avoid annual fees. This may be an option to grab and burn.

If you're under 5/24 it's a no brainer. I'd get it just to have the points. Even if a devaluation comes you'll probably still be relatively ahead

I'm buying a house and have some months to go to get under Chase's limits so I have to sit on the sidelines hoping it lasts a full year.

Yeah I know. I just manufacture cash now, apart from the 250K UR/yr.

5 cards in 24 months

I'll prob wait til towards the end of the year. Just don't have much in the way of big expenses short term to get the bonus at the moment

If you are Chase private client, they have been waiving the 5/24 rule.

Also, it has been waived"sometimes" if you go to a physical branch and check for pre approvals with a banker.

You're getting 250k UR a year from MS? Damn. That seems like a lot of work but that's a whole lot of travel. I was hoping to get about 50k UR from the 5x categories without going crazy and out of my way.

Got it a week ago and have put $800 on it so far. With some bigger expenditures coming, I should have no problem getting over the $4,000 minimum spend in three months.

Yeah and about another 40-45K from mine and SOs Freedom rotating cats. Unfortunately, Ink+ is capped at $50K at office stores.

Question about United and cancelling a flight.

I used miles to book two round trips tickets to New York over Labor Day weekend. Due to the floods, I had to cancel reservation. What is the best course of action now? Will United waive the change/refund fees for a disaster like this? We've been out of our home since 8/13.

Edit: Thought I was in rewards thread

Ink+ is capped at $50k a year. "Only" $50k

Then there is unlimited SPG, Hilton Surpass, Wyndham and now I got the OBC (5% cb, capped at $50K a year) and Discover (3% unlimited for 1 year), other random bonus to meet min spends etc etc etc. Although I am at a point at which I don't really care about chasing sign up bonuses anymore. I would've got the CSR obviously but cant.

So I can get card now. Pay $450 on first statement. Get $300 in travel credits before Dec. Then $300 more in travel credits after first of year. Then cancel card before year anniversary and keep the $600 in credits and 100k sign up pts?

I may ask you to email me, if you don't mind some of your MS if you don't mind? Although I'm kinda scared to see it

I'm really hooked on the UR now. Is that going through a deval or people just assuming?

Just speculation.

Feel free to email. I don't have any secrets though. My methods are the ones that are already well known tbh
