88 is a little over14% greater than 77. So you agree that you overestimated by about 14%. That’s a pretty big overestimation.

Of course revenue is up. Everything is up because of inflation. I guarantee you costs of transportation/shipping, goods and salaries are way up, too.
You apparently think the economy is just fine and we are not in the early stages of a recession. I disagree. One of us will be right in six months and one of us will be wrong. I hope you are right for all of our sake.

Some of this money that has evaporated on paper could been used for some great life experiences instead.
I understand where you’re coming from. But paper losses don’t prevent life experiences from being had any more than paper gains enable those life experiences.
All I mean is, til you cash in some chips, the winnings aren’t yours to spend (yet).

Go back to my op, I stated I believe didn’t have the data in front of me but I believe it was around 88. So sorry, but I found the correct data and shared it.
Earnings = profit and 77% of the S&P 500 companies have exceeded their expectations on PROFIT.
No I don’t think we are headed for a recession in 2022. But I do think we are headed for one at the end of ‘23 or spring of ‘24.
