Anyone playing natural gas this winter? Coming off recent record highs but down 16% today. Could be a good buying opportunity and still pre winter run imo.

This made some good money till the oil market collapsed. The guy who bumped this would have made some serious cash if he played that card over winter.

I have a small position at 3.29. Played some quick trades recently and made some chump change. Might go in harder if Nat gas gets to 2

I’ve got 2500 shares with the plan (if any only if) to do another 1500 shares if it drops to 2.50 or so.

Anyone following UNG or the space in general that can opine?

I actually made 30% off of kold when the gas prices peaked. I could have made more but I was pretty damn happy with 30% since I usually suck at picking winners

BOIL up 40% in about 2 trading weeks.

Wouldn’t be banking on it sustaining but a great run.

I shorted UNG (long put) when the news sensationalized what was to be record high prices. I watched the five year gas in storage averages come back from 25% below five year averages, to almost 18% above five year averages today. I still haven't completely exited the UNG long put position. Needless to say, the trade was conservative, and tremendously profitable.

I'm not a fan of BOIL due to its composition and reasons I've gone into several years ago in this thread.

I didn't realize this thread had resurrected itself.

At some point I do think long natural gas will be a good trade / investment. I can't imagine that time is right now though. Whenever that time comes I'll make a conservative long play. Conservative being a derivative, not buy, hold and get slaughtered.
