I think there is discipline that would serve Jennings better than a suspension for an arbitrary number of quarters / games. He showed a real lack of judgment and common sense when he broke the law along with his teammates. The charges have been dropped, but LSU student athletes are held to a higher standard than you or me. I hope the coaches make them run their arses off after practices and I hope they make them perform a higher than usual number of community service / charity hours this year.

Suspended for? Charges were dismissed....

I get what you are saying here but you cannot dismiss charges unless they were initially filed...

Also, there is another aspect to this I have not seen anyone else bring up. What if upon taking matters into his own hands and bringing his buddies along in his folly, something went wrong and a gun was pulled and shots were fired...

The issue here for me is not only the issue of charges being filed, dismissed or whatever... it is also exercising judgement and how that judgement influences others..

Just because you do a foolish thing and you are lucky enough to learn from it does not mean I as a head coach will let it slide...

having said that there are other ways to administer discipline than game suspensions... So I may exercise alternates other than that...

Hey you may be surprised by McNeese

If Harris struggles Les gets a pass from the fans and plays Jennings.

If Harris does great he plays Harris until he makes a mistake and plays Jennings

Either way Les will gravitate to Jennings in my opinion. I just think Les likes the demeanor of Jennings and this is his guy. I may be wrong but I just don't see Harris taking over this team

Considering charges were dropped and he never did anything terribly awful in the first place I think one game would be a bit much. With that being said no way would he start game one. I think a first half suspension, first quarter at the very least would be sufficient.

With that being said I fully expect Les to start him.

He made a good decision to throw it deep to Dural to beat Ar-Kansas, but after that he's been making a LOT of bad decisions including the one to break into someone's house/apt. whatever.

Starting QB's are in the business of making good decisions. He doesn't make them that often so IMO he gets a series off or a quarter, but I think it should be a half.

Does anyone really not think that Brandon Harris can't hand it off to Fournette as well as AJ?

Wasn't sitting out the summer the punishment? He should be punished for for serving the punishment?

Internal discipline is appropriate. I don't have a problem if he's withheld from play during his internal discipline. Likewise if he starts and has to serve the community at a homeless shelter I'm cool too.
