re: French speech in Louisiana - TigerMonkey
There's a resurgence amoung the younger generations to preserve it and the immersion school system is very popular.
This is true. I've got two friends from New Orleans spending a month in Montreal right now for one of these programs. Second time for one of them....

re: For the Athletes here: where have you found clothes that fit your shredded body? - TigerMonkey
Is there a place that keeps us in mind? or is our only hope to get everything tailored?
For dress clothes Express/Banana Republic usually have a good selection. For jeans I have to buy loose fit. Anything tighter is too uncomfortable around the quads. For t-shirts I stick with the ...

re: Should My Family Be Controlling What I Eat? - TigerMonkey
Do whatever the hell you want. I personally don't eat a lot of pork because it isn't lean enough, but I keep a pretty boring/clean diet. That being said I love pulled pork, and if someone tried to forbid me from eating it, I might just have it for a month straight....

re: No swim in the gulf? Whats next - TigerMonkey
The threat is very real. I live just north of Gulf Shores and know a girl who went to the ER last night from this. She went swimming yesterday, cut her foot on a shell, and had multiple holes on the bottom of her foot by yesterday evening. Spent all night in the ER....

re: Problems with Tiger Sports Radio app? - TigerMonkey
Same here. The app has gone downhill fast. There used to be something new every few days. Now it's easily a week or more before they post a random interview with a recruit. I've been using the 104.5 ESPN app for on demand LSU radio....

re: Phil Jackson: "LeBron needs to takeover like Michael did" - TigerMonkey
I kind feel like LeBron did that last year in the finals. He put up great numbers but the rest of the team was flat. What is he supposed to score 70+ points over these next 4-5 games? The rest of the cavs need to pull their weight....

Go in July or August if you want to actually get in the lake without freezing your arse off. Late May if you don't care about the water and just want warmer weather....

re: Stadium Arcadium is an extremely well done album: Thoughts? - TigerMonkey
Thoughts on this masterpiece?
John Frusciante at his best. If I had to pick one song to show how good of a guitar player he is it would be Turn It Again. It's a damn shame he left the band and started making shitty electronic music....

re: The inlaw's dogs have turned to TPOS - TigerMonkey
They have a good bit of land in lower Alabama
Not the Foley/Gulf Shores area huh? We have enough undisciplined dogs running around over here. This is definitely an owner problem....

re: Fear the Walking Dead characters vs WD - TigerMonkey
IMO FTWD's only chance at lasting will be to look at the zombie apocalypse through a bigger lens. About the only time in the Walking Dead that we got to learn what was going on around the rest of the world was the few episodes in the CDC from season 1. FTWD has the opportunity to shed light on place...

re: RIP Student Tailgating at LSU - TigerMonkey
Won't this just prompt them to throw unofficial tailgate parties elsewhere on campus? Probably at a spot some family has been tailgating at for years. Then we can have another round of threads about people taking other peoples tailgating spots....

re: Tyrann Mathieu Always showing love and repping THE Purple n Gold - TigerMonkey
I think we may have another tradition for #'s... 18 is kind of falling off and #7 seems to be the shite now... What do you think? upvote or downvote?
It kind of already is and I it how it is now. A new unspoken tradition. I'd rather not see LSU make an official deal out of it. I r...

re: When did you see a friend or acquaintance have a nervous breakdown and what - TigerMonkey
I don't know if it's anxiety, but I have a friend that will bail on an event after months of planning for it. Perfect example was Hangout Fest 2014. We were both really excited to see Outkast close out the show that Sunday evening. Talked about it for weeks. The weekend of the festival arrived. Desp...

re: Any ideas on how to handle neighbor from Hell? - TigerMonkey
You're a very patient person. I would've started cursing her our and acting incredibly rude to her every time she spoke to me at this point. Maybe push her to a point where she crosses a line and I can have her arrested. Seriously though there is some good advice in this thread. Despite how much ...

re: OT Married men: If you could go back, would you? - TigerMonkey
Got married last May and it's been great. Definitely worked in our favor that I'm 31 and my wife is 32. Your friends probably should've waited a few years. Enjoying my 20's was one of the best decisions I ever made. Met the wife 2 months shy of turning 28 and by that point I was ready for it....
