I really would rather not argue either, we can agree to disagree. Personaly I don't think an offense's ranking is 100% on the shoulders of the QB. Its the Offensive line as well as the RBs and MOST IMPORTANTLY, the play calling (and we all know how bad that was).

Lets just leave it here and agree to disagree

please explain to me how a six was his fault.

Ok I will do this slowly so I dont confuse you.

1. JL snaps the ball
2. JL drops back
3. JL freaks out and throws ball
4. Other team catches ball
5. Ball is then ran back for a TD
6. JL pulls on neck of jersey
7. JL gets booed

did u not read my post. i covered the whole freshman thing. JJ was basically a feshman this yr but he threw less than half the int lee did and i dont remember if any was returnrd. also lee had a better o line than JJ did. only thng i want JJ to is stop taking so many sacks.

Anyone who jumps on either of their cases regularly is an a-hole.

I can only think of one time for each QB where it was called for.

-When JJ spiked the ball with one second left. I don't care if God told him to spike it, that was stupid. Also, he wasn't even set when the clock started so it didn't matter anyway.

-When JL hung Tolliver out to dry and got him laid the frick out. The pick sixes are understandable and forgivable because he was young. But that one pass pissed me off.

ETA: There was one time where the whole student section booed JL right when they subbed him in before he even had the chance to screw up. Shows how shitty most of our fans are.

With all that being said...:geauxJL: :geauxJJ:

The blow outs were more a function of our insanely horrible defense in 2008 than because of JL. He didn't help obviously. But with any semblence of a defense that year, it would still have been a great year.

This goes both ways. If Lee doesn't throw the pick sixes in 08 we beat UGA and Bama.

Yeah maybe the first 2 or 3 but after that....not understandable when you can pencil one in for every game

Ok hot shite, I'm pretty sure that when you were 18 and if you were thrown into that situation you wouldn't ever throw 1... probably because you would shite your pants and freeze up.

I love it.. A poster come on here to ask why we jump on JJ and then continues to assault Lee. Cause we certainly never gave him a hard time

I dont recall a QB badgered in my life more than Lee. But lets protect JJ.

Not to mention, we are back on another JJ/Lee thread...will this EVER end??!!

You are right, I would probably throw a bunch, but I am also not playing D1 football. And after my 2nd or 3rd pick six I might be a little more carefull with the ball

Yeah I'm aware of that, but it wasn't always his fault. The play calls were horrible and didn't play to his favor.

Oh wait I thought of another. The pick against Bama in OT was fricking retarded on his part too.

So it's more understandable to place the blame on the shoulders of one player than on the shoulders of 11. Okay.

By trying to argue for JL, you just argued a great point for JJ

Because too many people hype the living crap out of him in order to trash other players (Lee, Hebert, etc.), when the guy has serious problems as a QB.

It doesn't mean I don't like the guy. Some may recall that I went absolutely ballistic when people were wanting a Heisman campaign for Charles Scott during the 2008 season, but I thought Scott was our best leader on offense in 2009.

I just don't like it when people try to make the game too much of an individual thing (who are the stars who are going to "step up"? who are the true leaders? and all that shite).

I cant agrue with that except that he doesnt actually have to throw the ball if someone is covered. That is why you have reads. Aka dont keep throwing the out route if you continuously throw pick sixes on that call.

JJ was "thrown in" as a TRUE Fr. and he didn't do it nearly as bad. JL was a RS Fr. in '08. Big difference. BTW, JL almost set the NCAA record for pick sixes in a year.

o my god chill the hell out. this hold thread wasnt even about Lee. i was askin about JJ and all of a sudden they put lee in it. and both of them was thrown in b4 they should have JJ was third on the depth chart the beginning of 08, so dont feed me that BULL. one has delt with it better thats all. and last yr it was a lot of stuff going wrong such as the oline play and the playcalling. but everyone wants to blame everything on the QB

I hear you but keep in mind he wasn't exactly thrown in to anything. He had all season to learn, had a month to prepare for 1 team and that team wasn't that good. Hats off to him he did great but it's not really comparable.
