Burrow has passed Maravich status. How many championships did "Pistol" bring to LSU?

The exact same amount Burrow did.. ZERO!!

Burrow is a great QB and we were blessed to have him on our team. But look at the number of Burrow's team mates that have been drafted this year alone verses the number of team mates Pistol had drafted into the NBA and you will see how silly your comment is...

As an individual player Pistol is the pinnacle of accomplishment.. and its not really close..

Burrows has great accomplishments and he worked hard to get them.. for that I will always stand in awe of what he has accomplished. But Burrows accomplishments were in tandem with the great players (and coaches..) around him.

Maravich finished his three years 22-10, 13-13, and 14-12 with his best year being a 2nd place finish in the SEC. Burrow went 15-0 this year and led LSU to the greatest season in college football history. Burrow has is the greatest athlete in LSU history based on this year alone IMO

How many of those players were recognized because of the play of Burrow?

Imagine Mond as our quarterback.

How many basketball players on other SEC teams were drafted when Pete was playing?

How many defensive players were drafted who were on teams Burrow faced? He set records vs teams in the top ten.

How many top ten teams did Pete face?

Now many did he score vs Marquette in the NIT? The NIT was big time back then. Pete Maravich could get only 20 points.
During the NIT games, Maravich averaged 25.7 points per game.

How many TDs did Burrow pass and run for during the Championship run?

Do you realize how silly your comments?

And Burrow had a degree from LSU, Pete didn't.

Sorry bro. I was replying to the OP's question of "will Joe Burrow reach Pete Maravich status at LSU" i agree Joe is an all time GOAT and nobody will ever touch what Pete did that's why I replied to SUB saying not really. I mean Joe was a dream come true for us...but rename Tiger Stadium or the Field after him or say equal or surpass the greatest college basketball ball player to ever have played the game by a MILE... i cant go that far..but i do luv me some Joe and always will !

For those keeping track at home this is almost a 45% scoring reduction. Lends credence to the idea that Pete racked up stats against a weak SEC with few NBA players.

Meanwhile what was Joe’s output down the stretch vs Alabama, UGA, OU, and Clemson? I don’t recall a drop off from his normal production.
