I think having Melissa Joan Hart representing Alabama is a pretty accurate depiction of their fanbase. She didn't attend Alabama like the other 85% of the Gumps.

I would've gone with Sela Ward.

Ward attended the University of Alabama, where she performed as one of the Crimson Tide cheerleaders, was homecoming queen, joined Chi Omega sorority, and double-majored in art and advertising.

This. There are LOTS of guys whose politics don't mesh with mine that I'd still love to have a beer with. Its not about politics; its about football.

So lets see......the choices are a political mastermind that is one of the best debaters in history vs Shaq? We are talking about someone to representing LSU vs the other various Universities around the country right?

Carville? I guess Lester Earl is busy, did they check to see if Cecil was out of the pen yet?

i love shaq and carville. although one would think carville has a better command of the language (das raycess!) bc of his professional experience.

i didn't watch yet but did any of the schools have former athletes repping their schools?

i've heard hart, may, judd, daniels, mentioned. all non athletes.

it's possible they wanted to go that route.

seems like any celebrity or pseudo celebrity with ties to the conference got a spot if they wanted it.

anybody knocking carville or wishing away his association with lsu should be ashamed of themselves.

Yeah, I'm real ashamed of myself. Carville is a hack ideologue living off his past. He is annoying at best, OCD psychotic at worst. He can make me change a channel faster than an ESPN gay tongue kiss.

Car like is a very big face outside of sports. Very intelligent.

Nothing wrong with him. I don't agree with all his politics, but I really like the guy.

I agree strongly with both of these posts. For whatever reason, I think I'd like Carville even if he didn't love LSU as much as he does. Guy's straight up hilarious, and like one of y'all said, he's for sure be very high on my "hey dude, wanna go drink a beer" list.

Edit: There is NO telling how much pork got kicked LSU's way when Clifford was President. When Carville talks about LSU, the passion he has for LSU is absolutely undeniable. I've never seen that SI article that someone mentioned in an earlier post - will check the whole thread to see if someone linked it, as I'd love to read his description of being an LSU fan. I do remember his pre-NC game 2003 interview though, and without question, he was as genuinely jacked up as some guy in Brusly, or Westwego, or Krotz Springs, or any and all the other little random "Burgs" across Louisiana, and ol' Carville had a little more going on in his life at that time compared to me and those Burgites listed above.

Carville's dad owned a small town out of BTR. It was Carville,La. We played their soft ball team at one time & won. He is a total Jerk & I am sorry he went to LSU!

He was fricking hilarious in the SEC Storied program. His hatred for LSU was palpable (as was his complete dismissal of State).
