Jesus H Christ. They really are the shittiest fan base on the planet.

I've lived in AL for about 10 years. Around the time Saban went to Al and they started getting better, I kept seeing all these people bringing old framed jerseys and memorabilia into their offices in my building. More often than not, it was old memorabilia they had previously taken home from when they weren't good. Real big fans, they are.

Had a similar experience at the Cleveland Int'l airport...dude at the car rental counter sees my cool Tigers hat (not as cool as LM's) and asks me if it bothers me that he's a Bama fan and I said "no, it's just Alabama"... not the best response, but it shut him up...

He's intelligent, witty and and is a true fan...don't agree with his politics but I'll gladly have him rep the Boot and LSU.

I definitely think Carville did a great job. His passion is evident and was by far and away the best representative of what it is like to be an SEC football fan. That comment about being able to read the Sunday paper was on point. He actually seemed out of place because he was the one true fan in that piece.

Let's be honest, 85% of LSU fans did not attend LSU.

I do not agree with him politically, but I like his love for LSU. He always has something interesting to say.

Unfortunately, He has a face for radio. Even his own wife calls him 'lizard head'.

He went to LSU for his undergrad and law degree. I've seen him at countless away games. The guy loves LSU football. I sat next to him at the 2005 SECCG. He knows LSU football better than 95% of the people on this board.

What does working at Tulane have to do with anything?

I have 3 uncles that all have had season tickets for 30+ years and 0 attended LSU and neither did their children. I guess they are not true fans.

Carville was perfect. True fan, famous yet no different than the regular Joe fan when it comes to LSU football.

I loved the "if you can read the Sunday paper after a loss, you're not a fan."

Nothing agaist Shaq, he's great and cool and all, but I doubt Shaq has any trouble sleeping after an LSU loss.

Would you prefer Bobby "I am all in for myself" Jindal representing us?
