He has been pretty smart. Got us to this point, where we are the best team in the country at the moment.

This is my assumption. I think this was a kind of last opportunity to make the postseason roster.

Is there any team in the country, or even in recent memory who is as battle tested, as experienced in clutch situations as these tigers?
By design, circumstance, or fate, this team seems ready for postseason play.

wanted another chance to say on the post game radio show "I just had a feeling he would do well today." So when Bouman blew that opportunity PM decided to send Stallings in to close. (he just had a feeling about him too) all PM had to talk about today was how the Tigers didn't hang their heads and fought back.

That's what good teams do

Lot's of questions answered this weekend.
Bouman is out (expected). Stallings is pretty much out (barring a very thin bullpen). This was probably a last ditch effort to get him going.
From a positive perspective, Norman, Reynolds, Norman, and Godfrey all stepped up and I think will be viable options in the bullpen with Bugg and Person. That's probably deep enough.
2nd base is pretty much the last question heading into the postseason.

we have bigger problems than I thought
We are the number one ranked team in the nation with three regular season games to go. What big problems do we have other than having clueless, D-bag fans who think they know better than the staff that lead LSU to the ranking they currently enjoy.

Senior day, game didn't mean much with the series already one (SEC regular season title is worthless).
Whatevs.

To give you something to start a thread about.

I feeling Iike ell and I are the only ones who actually watch the games.

I don't think PM deserves criticism over this. Bouman hasn't seen the field in awhile, I'm ok with running him out there on sr day after you already clinched the series to see if you could catch lightning in a bottle down the stretch and maybe he could help you. It didn't work and you still were able to win the game.

I pay attention, also. On another note, did anyone else see that #13 Miami won their four games this week by a combined score of 72-2? Their problem is getting ready for the post season without having much competition to play against.

Because it was senior day and he is from Missouri, that's really probably all there was to it. If this was a bigger game, he wouldn't have started.
I think if you would have just had the first sentence you would have been ok. Pulmonary has already said he wants to win the west, the league, and the tournament. In that context, yesterday's game was huge. Maintain the leads on aggy and Vandy and with the win, LSU clinched a first day SECT bye.

on what planet are SEC regular season titles worthless?
and it's won, not one.

I think he did it as one final attempt to see if he could be trusted this year.
Nope.
Nope.
