It has to be more than just a coincidence that Stoney Brook has more high draft picks than most major baseball powers.

Something just seems strange that this many really good baseball players would just all end up at a small div 1 school in Long(Correction) Island.

THought they were in New York?
Someone posted the size of the school earlier and it isn't that small, just the attendance of fans is.

Evidently Boston College & UConn have recruiters who suck at spotting talent.

UConn was loaded last year with a lot of good juniors that went pro. This Stony Brook team has a lot of seniors. It's reasonable to think that UConn couldn't sign everyone and went with the guys with more upside. Like George Springer or Matt Barnes, who are better than anyone Stony Brook has on their team right now.

Boston College has been in a slow steady decline for a few years now.

Stony Brook is a flagship state university of New York with 25k students located 60 minutes outside Manhattan. We've only been division 1 for about 10 years and we've only just started to make serious investments in athletics, but I fully expect SBU to become a major player.

I blame Elisabeth Filarski Hasselbeck and the undue attention given to BC softball.

I happen to see their AD on the Tim Brando show earlier in the week. He was talking about how they are in the largest media market in the country & are one of the 64 AAU accredited universities. The baseball program received a 1/2 million dollar donation from Joe Nathan.

And Stony Brook is definitely not the flagship university for SUNY, jackass.
