Jennings is more polished in the pocket, Harris has more raw talent and better accuracy.

it probably makes no difference who is back there honestly. But with this board, you can't love one without hating the other.

If you can't tell the difference between Harris and Jennings then I don't know what to tell you.

The one thing that concerns me is that when the blocking fell apart on those 3 plays, Harris didn't pick up on the defenders coming mostly right in his face. That, and he does appear to be locking onto one receiver and not really going through progressions...unless he rolls out. We need to put him in more rolls outs, and less sitting in the pocket imo.

Harris has distinct benefits. Things we have seen, seriously:

he can throw a screen accurately and with touch. Jennings struggled with that.
He has a fast release and good range downfield with his passes. You have to honor the 15-20 rd routes, Jennings would loop those in.
I think Harris is physically a faster runner; better speed to the edge. We've seen that used a couple of times this season already.

Jennings is a good dude but doesn't have the arm talent to make most of the throws Harris did

Yeah, he can throw a frozen rope on the out route, the fades showed great touch, and I'd add in the ease in which his pass to Dural covered 55 yards in the air.

Drops man. 5 out of the last 6 years we've had terrible passing games, and it's because our NFL talent WR's drop the ball every year. We'd be Texas Tech 2.0 if not for drops. Drops. Gum drops.

Let's completely dismiss everything football related and look at off the field.

Seems like Harris can keep his nose clean. Even if Jennings was cleared, he still showed poor judgement with the way he dealt with his whole ps4 incident.

I'll just say... Fournette's 48 yard run against 'Cuse would almost certainly have been a sack if Jennings was under center. The level of awareness that Harris has compared to last year is simply unreal.

yeah. I guess I don't know what I'm talking about. Jennings is probably the way to go. He also threw a fade touchdown during the season last year. A couple actually.

I can't really see any difference between him and Jennings. One and the same really.

Were there no drops in 2014?

Here.. let me give you some better perspective.

Last year..

Jennings plays in every game and was the starter pretty much the entire year.. Even including the bowl game against a ND team with only 3 starters on D..

Jennings accounted for 11 total TDs with 8 INTs 22 sacks and a 48% completion percentage.. I believe he also has 2 fumbles?

Harris, in extremely limited play last season.. accounted for 9 Total TDs (6 passing and 3 rushing) with only 1 real INT (1 other INT was a hail mary attempt to win a game he lead a comeback in)

Think about that for a second.. Jennings all season long had only 11 total tds.. and Harris had 9..

Seriously..

Now.. last year when Harris was in there was a time the offense scored 10 STRAIGHT Tds.. regardless of competition.. the offense was far more 3 and outs with Jennings than Harris...

Harris is a better athlete like I said, and extends drives better with his arm and legs.. the threat of both affects the effectiveness of the entire offense. we simply score far more TDs with Harris behind center than Jennings..

Why is that so hard to understand?

Harris is one of the most efficient QBs in the country right now.. this past week was not on him at all.. he puts throws on the money.. his guys did not help him.

Jennings is terrible in the pocket. He stares down receivers and panics at the slightest bit of pressure. The one thing Jennings ever had over Brandon was knowledge of the playbook and time in the system. Now that Brandon knows the playbook and is in his second year, he has surpassed Anthony in every aspect of being a quarterback.

No, he's actually not. Jennings struggled vs even inferior competition and he locks in on one receiver as bad as any of them.

Harris should have never had to play last season.

Do you have eyes? Jennings couldn't complete a pass that wasn't wide open.

How many times has Harris lost track of the play clock this season? Can't recall any. It was an epidemic last year for AJ.

Anything you ever post from here on out about anything regarding football I don't think anyone can take you serious. If you think you have something intelligent to say about anything about the game just DON'T
