What is LSU doing this season with Harris that they couldn't do with Jennings?

Can Jennings not turn around and hand the ball off to Fournette? Harris' completion percentage on Saturday was 50% for about 150 yards which is Jennings' average stat line. They've been running some zone read but they ran that play all of one time on Saturday. I don't think it matters who plays QB with Fournette in the backfield.

There were 4 clear drops on a 8 for 16 performance, should have been 12 for 16.

He also threw a beautiful fade to Dupre for a TD. And I don't generally want to shite my pants every time he drops back to pass.

Not sure if your serious? Can you not see what he does with his feet and how accurate his throws are and his misses are close too. Less mistakes hasn't turned the ball over once. He's progressing every game where as Jennings looked the same as Game 1 to Game 12

I don't think it matters which one is back there.

It's a fair question. The OL is better, and Fournette is playing on another level. We don't know how Jennings would do with this cast unless and until he gets a chance. But the coaches have gone with Harris, and so far it's working. If Jennings gets a shot at some point, I'll pull for him to do well.

Were there no drops in 2014?

Are you talking about Jennings against Alabama last season?

Jennings is a good dude but doesn't have the arm talent to make most of the throws Harris did

False. Jennings typically became more clueless as the season progressed.

Arkansas was his best performance, followed by the season opener against Wisconsin.

1. Completing 50% or more of his passes

2. Not turning the ball over

3. Making good decisions on the read option

4. Not forcing passes when the pocket breaks down.

Sorry Mrs Jennings, your son is a nice kid but just not good enough at QB to play in the SEC

The battle cry of LSU, "give the back up QB a chance"
Seriously though, 0 turnovers is the answer to the OPs question. And that fade to Dupre.....wow

it actually matters a lot..

jennings did turn the ball over via fumble, interceptions, and he took more sacks than harris.

harris is a better athlete in every way. no offense to jennings.. he just had to learn the mental aspects and the playbook. it matters a lot.. there's is less room for error with miles' philosophy

harris also can make all the throws all over the field, when needed
