re: What could LSU do to keep you in the stadium longer during football games?

Fix the traffic...
This is the answer. If you wait until pig-frick time and try to leave, it doubles or triples a ride to anywhere. Unfortunately, not everyone can stumble to their RV or spend the night sitting in their car waiting while their babysitter is getting it on your couch.
Personally, I park at a friends and ride my bike. Lets me stay most games until the end and I still beat the bolus of drunks out of town.

The students will leave early regardless
You know, we have the best student section in the country, yet all you people do is bitch about it. Yes, some of them leave early, bc they've spent the entire game jumping up and down and screaming at the top of their lungs while you sat on your arse with your chair back. An average student does more to contribute to the game atmosphere in one drive than most fans the the whole game

Ah, the young naive college know it all. I fify:
With my friends when they start sobering up and we're playing non SEC at home they usually leave for the tailgate. I meet them there after. They also used to try to get me to leave to drive back to the NO to go out...in a town without last call...I don't get it.
Beer at games and reduced traffic after are the only answers and neither will happen.

After game entertainment(concerts, etc.), so fans can enjoy these festivities and not worry about getting home. The traffic will then trickle out over time rather than all at once.

I'd need hookers and cocaine. Lots of cocaine!!! Loud rock music on the 50 post-game with more hookers and a whole lotta blow! I'd stay all goddamn night...

charge students to get in.
Students pay for their tickets. Even if you raise the student ticket prices I doubt that will have much of an impact.

This USA Today article on stadium innovations in the NFL had me thinking about being at OOC games that had gotten out of hand in Tiger Stadium and wishing I could check in on the big primetime games going on around the country. Having powerful enough wifi to stream the games to a phone or tablet would be really nice. I realize that texts just got reliable on game day, so this is probably a long way off.

sell alcohol and have individual urinals.

I usually bring enough in to last but if I run out and my buzz starts wearing off I'm looking for booze. I usually just walk to a bar and finish watching.

Something impossible at this point, make the game affordable enough for more real football fans to attend. It's increasingly a social event with more and more folks each year there with little or no real interest in the game.

Fixing traffic issues would do a world of good as would better ooc opponents.
Miles could also use the end of blowouts to get youngsters some meaningful experience rather than just running the clock out. People would enjoy getting to see a glimpse of the future more than hearing Mett is in the doghouse b/c he called an audible and tried to score against Ole Miss

The main problem with traffic is that LSU and BRPD are never on the same page. There is no set "gameday plan". Whatever they did last week as far as directing traffic a certain way, certain parking pass cars in one lane, planned flow routes after the game - is all tentative and will more than likely be changed this week.
I don't understand why BRPD still doesn't do a full contra flow in all directions after the game. The traffic signals are all working normally on Burbank and Nicholson, and traffic is actually allowed to drive into campus- yet 20 years ago it wasn't that way and there were half the people on campus then compared to now.

Most people have 2 options... Watch the second half of a blowout vs Towson, while sober
OR
Go back to the tailgate with pretty women, tv's, alcohol, and good food.
It's really not even a choice IMO, I'm back at the tailgate everytime.

Make it easier to get out of the south end zone. Its such a cluster frick, that I have left games before to not have to deal with that.

schedule better games, serve alcohol
I'll even bring my own alcohol, just quit sending any decent OOC game elsewhere and giving us the thrilling home matchups versus West New Mexico Normal University Military Academy.

What could the athletic dept do to make the football games more entertaining for you in Tiger Stadium(other than the game itself - since that obviously is not enough).
It's enough for me. In fact, my biggest beef currently are the marshals in the EU who feel the need to start booting people OUT of the stadium right after the end of the game while the band is playing.
I get to attend LSU home football games 7 or 8 times a year depending upon how many they have. I get into the stadium as soon as they open the gates and I leave when the team has vacated the field. I try and get the most out of that experience as I can.
Others' mileage may vary.
