Right, we have people preemptively bitching about possible negativity down the road when the board of positive

That's pretty bad

They won't be calling for the backup, they'll be calling for the high school kid, Franks.

you are sadly mistaken sir. I support ALL LSU FOOTBALL PLAYERS. and when AJ was playing you damn right I supported him and i'm sure my post history supports this. I most definitely support them all AS PEOPLE. I know what college athletes go through and it can be tough, esp as a QB.

and I don't pray for any player to start. the problem with you and some others is that you trash anyone that has brains and can think for themselves if they don't "agree" with you or your "methods" of purporting a player. I am no more of a Jennings fan than I am a Harris fan, a Fournette fan, a Boutte fan, etc, etc. I am an LSU FAN! and I don't like people trashing LSU or it's representatives.

thank you. I get down voted a lot and i'm pretty sure it's my moniker. it's called age discrimination.

most civilizations respect their elders because they understand they are wiser and have accomplished a lot. in this country many of the young people, esp those college age, feel they know it all and often resent other opinions.

sorry, I had to get the lecture in.

You should really go show up in the Astros thread again. Stop being a coward.

ahh, I have been caught.

I was really down on the Astros and now they are in first place. i'm man enough to say I was wrong and should show up and say it there. what you may not know is that I felt betrayed by the Astros, esp them moving to the AL. but nevertheless, you are right (as usual).

Anyone who doesn't think that after BH's first incompletion there won't be 30 "OMG CAN WE TRY SOMEONE ELSE" posts on the scoreboard, is fooling themselves

The main difference this year is that we all know that BH has more physical ability in all phases of the game. We just have to wait and see if the intangibles are there yet...how tough is he? how cool will he be under pressure? how mature is he now? These are the things we'll just have to wait for game time to find out whether he's truly ready to lead the Tigers this year...and it's fun anticipating, I think...

I remember quite a few "why don't we try Brandon Bergeron" posts last year

so we're supposed to have a lovefest with AJ?

get real

THIS.

AJ is bad at playing college football. Brandon Harris may not have a 100% chance of being great, but he has a 100% chance of not being AJ.

this is LSU. I have known our fans for many years and we don't change. the minute BH struggles or throws him some picks the Tiger faithful will start calling for the backup.
Sorry pops, but that's not going to happen. Sure, there may be a few idiots saying something like that, but every fan base has them. Most of our fans, even on the rant, understand that quarterback development takes time. What upset many people more about last year is that BH didn't get enough of a chance. Sure the Auburn game went poorly, but if anything, many fans wanted to stick with him longer than it seems the coaches did rather than trash him at the first sign of imperfection. Obviously the seriousness of his high ankle sprain sheds new light on that, though.

I don't think that is true for the fan base as a whole, but we certainly do seem to have more than our fair share of Drama Queens who run around shouting out, "the sky is falling, the sky is falling" at every chance afforded them.
