exactly. we have no idea how that play was supposed to develop. maybe harris was to quick to throw ball, etc.? it was the first series in the first game. relax. if the game had been played and we won by 38 (hopefully to cover), you wouldn't even be breaking the play down.

McNeese diagnosed the play from the formation and substation. Same offensive shite as last year as LSU is so predictable the defense knows the play from the "player package and the formation.

New season toss dive to Fournette BIG surprise. The on third down go for a long completion. Maybe just maybe a money play might be the forgotten man--the tight end. Same shite as last year.

Can you imagine if that was a pick 6 and it is 7-0 and the game is cancelled lol

it's so awesome that you can foresee the entire identity of this year's o from 4 plays.

It could just as easily been a Guice route problem, or a bad Harris lead.

It was Jazz's fault, not Harris or Guice.

Oh, look. People on the rant making themselves miserable over one series in a game that wasn't even played.

I am not. I am merely pointing out why everyone should shut up about s block

The only reason I mentioned it was to try to get folks to think about the play in its entirety.

If you read my first post, I said I expect mistakes and they are rarely fatal

I would bet that this is a prelude to NO passes to the tight end with endless toss dives to Fournette. At least the punter got off a good punt. Would have liked to see something different that what LSU did on the first and only drive of the night.

Quinn being out three weeks and it was questionable whether he would be available or not could have been a factor in the assignments, #8 was on the outside and made a good block there. Jazz is a BIG body but those DB's are quick footed, especially the SEC ones. Freshman are going to make mistakes, it is a given. Jazz is our biggest WR and I can see him making an early impact in red zone formations. It was one play in his first game, cut him some slack. I think he will be a great Tiger!

So would you be happy if we pass to the tight end but don't produce? look, I get it. you want to see LSU do well, as do I, but there is a lot more to it than what they drew up for the first series. be patient. we are in a golden era of tiger ball.

Would be one of the last receivers I would have out there blocking. Why not have Diarse out there in that situation.

Pretty obvious they put a huge guy put there to block. 3asy to read that play. I hope we don't keep telegraphing the plays by the personnel.

Freshman mistake, likely pays for it in play time against MSU and Auburn

Agree. You would think that after the Arkansas game last year when the Arkansas defense knew who would get the ball and where the back was going to run. Same shite as last year. Total predictability.

You may not, but anyone with a little football IQ does.

It was a bubble screen designed to get the ball to Guice on the outside. From Jazz's initial angle it's obvious that he intended to get on the outside shoulder of the Safety so that Guice could turn the corner. The safety immediately diagnosed the play and Jazz was unable to make the block. What's worrisome is that the block still could have been made even though the safety played it well. Poor decision to have him out there when we have proven veteran WRs that can get the job done.
