Tragedy strikes Vandy--

I really hated reading about this.
A freshman pitcher for Vandy drowned yesterday afternoon.
No word yet on moving the scheduled Friday game.

man, that's terrible news. losing a child has got to be the worst thing that can happen to a parent. I will pray for him and his family.

Reading about that, very tragic. Really weird situation too...his friend swam out to help him and said the guy was laughing about it, so he turned to swim back to shore and when he looked back the guy had gone under. Very tragic and seemed like it could have been avoided.

As the parent of a grad school student, freshman college student starting Monday and a sophomore in hs in the fall, I just cannot imagine.
