It's always interesting how people turn to personal comments when their ability to articulate a cogent argument reaches its limit.

The money and resources at his disposal, he has underachieved, pretty significantly.

what teams are going to consistently have great attendance with a consistently mediocre or bad record? The answer is none.
Are we talking record or omaha now?

So, your comment about attendance being the return is misleading
How? A monetary investment's purpose is a monetary return. Attendance is the key. You think we have an attendance problem?

Do you know what it is? 1 year either way shouldn't have such a significant effect on your view of the "trend". We can look at 6 years and it's different... we can look at 3 years and it's different... we can look at 9 years and it's different. You pick 5 because it suits your argument whereas all the others wouldn't.

i'm not sure i agree with this. miles has had a 10 year run almost unequaled in sec history, in a much much more competitive era than his superiors had to deal with (except saban who coached in the same era). sec baseball is also brutally competitive but, mainieri isn't even in the top 10 in postseason results in the last 5 years.

Yes I agree totally. What I meant was Pawl gets a pass and Les is the most hated coach in America by its own fan base. Yet Mikes has accomplished WAY more and Pawl hasn't done shite in regards to the expectations of LSU baseball.

Miles is hated more than liked and reason being is that he's average......

Pawl has accomplished way less than Miles but he's loved and gets a pass. When Pawl has been closer to and below average than Les in thier accomplishments.

I listed 10 schools who have been to Omaha at least twice and 3 that have been 3 times in the last 5 years.

One of the schools you listed was Texas who, barring winning their conference tournament, is going to miss the NCAA Tournament entirely for the 3rd time in 4 seasons. Yeah that's the level we should aspire to be at.

As much as I'm sure I come across as one here, you know I'm not an idiot. I understand the success he has had and I respect that. That doesn't mean I have to like how he goes about it or agree with every decision. Some people think it does mean exactly that which annoys the shite out of me so I show my arse every now and then over it.

But this guy is fricking ridiculous even for someone like me.

Why for making a statement that Pawl gets a pass?? Which it's obvious that he does for some reason? Yes he's had a lot of wins and I respect that.......But ask yourself this are we feared any longer in the post season under his tenure, even when teams have to come to the box? Answer that question and you'll see what the point is I'm trying to make.

Hahahahaha see he gets a pass. Explain to me then why we fear teams? Is it by getting beat out of tournaments over and over by lower seeded teams?? I agree the box may intimidate players but its not our postseason record under Pawl.

That's a fan problem more than a coaching problem. The Box is a shell of what it used to be. The OU super was rocking pretty good. But still not close to what it was at the old place.

Although I agree about the stadium that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying as LSU Baseball and our current streak of post season blunders do we intimidate teams that play us as a TEAM??

I'm not happy with it either. And I'd put 2 of those seasons squarely on PM's shoulders. The others (2010-2012) that fell short had a lot to do with having to adjust how we recruit thanks to the new bats and lack of experience after losing so much in 2009. We should have done much better in 2013... We should have at least had a shot to get there in 2014.
