Dead bats, huge park....small ball is the only option. I watched extremely hard hit balls drop like a stone nine feet from the warning track all afternoon yesterday. We win by more than one if we execute the bunt better.

Every situation is unique so it's hard to say, but most coaches bunt right there. Maybe in the 90's you play for a 2 run inning, but not these days. You try to get the 1 to tie it and go from there.
Again, each situation is different. Ibarra was something like 3 for 32 before getting the single in the 9th, so I could see the want for Rhymes to be the one to come through with the hit. However, tying run on 1st and no outs in the 9th is definitely not the wrong situation to be calling for a bunt.

Yes the yard is huge.
No we probably won't hit one out in the whole tourney.
Do balls in the gaps become auto outs in this big ballpark?
Because I'm pretty sure that is every power hitters goal in every park.
Nobody is truly swinging for the fences.
