Jefferson had a better Qb rating than Russell his Sophomore year, more TD's, Less INT's, and a better Completion PCT, and a longer pass on the season, and only around 300 less yards. But somehow you jack asses on the rant think he's not an SEC caliber QB? Seriously I don't know what the frick you guys are smoking. If you think JJ isnt the right guy based on this season you're a fricking moron plain and simple.

I'm not an anyone supporter I support LSU and the QB we put on the field this season produced the same as the great JaMarcus Russell did his sophomore year. shite Russell was Redshirted wasn't he? So there you go Russell did the same with another year of development.

the ability to run the ball made Russel look better.(defenses had to respect the run), opening up more passes down field.

So what is your point? Didn't we all already know that this board is infested with a bunch of jack asses. The offensive line may have been the worst in LSU history. Which meant no running game. JJ has a lot to learn but I think he is still 19 yrs. old but these rantards can't handle the truth. I hate to tell you but you are throwing your bucket down a dry well.

I realize that, but reading the stupidity on this board just pisses me off. If I see another post talking shite saying we need to bench JJ idk what I'll do. If you think JJ should be benched after this year you MUST agree Russell should of been benched after 05.

Jefferson has nowhere near the potential that Russell had. Jefferson will be the guy going into the spring, and there is a 95% chance he will start on opening day, but he is average at best.

So Jefferson had to deal with a hurricane and 20 people living in his apartment including Fats Domino this season?

This was once the best board on the internet but a few have turned it into constant bashing. It needs to be cleaned up but the only way to do is whack posts and after a certain number of whacks then whack the poster. Most have other team logo's by their name. That should tell you something.

And you have ZERO facts to back that up. SO please GTFO.

No. It's not even really that much of an insult to Jefferson. Few QBs are actually comparable to Russell in terms of natural talent, and once the offense was somwhat tailored to him, things worked out well. I can't see the same happening for Jefferson...I just think it's a false analogy.

Russell was drafted #1 overall. Please start a thread predicting that Jefferson will even sniff the first round.

all of last year i kept waiting for the breakout game but it never happened. maybe the offense never took off because it was dumbed down to fit the qb.

Russell was 6-6 235 his 3 year at LSU 05 (RS) Sophomore
Jefferson was 6-5 220 his 2nd year at LSU

They sound pretty comparable to me.

After Russell's 05 season there was debate if he would even start in 06 so don't act like you knew he would end up being a 1st rounder.

Jimbo really must of had to dumb it down in 05 for a QB who had been in the program for 3 years.

No dumb arse the Offense never took off because of the worst o line in recent memory and the least productive running game we've had since I can remember as well.
