I'm surprised it took this long. Good luck to the dude and if the nightmare of both Jennings and Harris going down happens, Brandon Bergeron can manage games just fine.

we were down to just Bolden at QB, we would be as screwed as it would be now with just a walk on QB

While I agree with you, I still liked to know we could put a guy back there that would be able to find the center and execute a handoff. It really will not matter I understand that part.

I guess delaying the move to the real world isn't a horrible idea. Play ball one more year

My dream move would be to transfer every other year just to milk free college for as much as possible. Then go to graduate school.

according to the last Depth chart that came out he was a QB

Bolden was a WR as of the spring. That depth chart that came out a couple days ago was not, in any way, official. The coaches announced he was a WR in the srping. Their word means much more than whatever unofficial depth chart was posted

Plus Bolden was more of a QB than WR

Again, false. He was switched to WR. That would be akin to saying Keihl Frazier at Auburn is more a QB than a WR because, at one time, he played QB in college before switching positions. Bolden was a WR upon his decision to leave LSU, plain and simple.

His move to WR was a charity attempt to get him on the field.

Pretty much any team would be in trouble if their top 2 QBs went down. We'll find a way to make it work IF it happens, but hopefully it won't.

Has he graduated? He appears to be headed to a smaller time program where he can get legit PT

no idea, and i understand the move, just not the timing of it. it's odd to wait until mid July to transfer when the reality of his situation has been readily apparent since early February.

Never thought of this scenario. Would be epic.

We have Bergeron too to take practice reps.

Bergeron had decent JUCO numbers. Honestly, I would feel more comfortable with him taking over if God forbid both Harris and Jennings go down, versus Bolden. It is not totally crazy to see two starters go down though. We should all remember how Stevan Ridley got playing time and became our featured back haha

ETA: Yes running backs take a lot more punishment than QBs, but Ridley was our 4th string RB entering that season. Quality depth is necessary at every position.

If you're one of the walk on QB's you've gotta be fired up

I've heard that another JUCO QB playing in Mississippi is coming in for this season...

Am I the only one that read this article about him not too long ago? Thought he was okay with riding the pine and getting a degree.

Am I crazy for wanting to see what Bergeron can do, since he has more experience than AJ and BH?

False.

If that was the case, he would have gotten reps at QB over Kragthorpe and Rettig in the Spring game.

He chose to move to WR in the spring because he knew there was no chance at QB ...then we we lose another scholly QB he has no choice but to move back to QB...

SO you are saying the depth chart in no way was influenced by any of the coaches ? if you think this you are delusional...its in the media guide...more up to date than what happened 4 months ago...A lot of shite happened between now and the spring game..

Numbers wise...just as good as Mett's.

False. Bergeron has never started a D1 game. Jennings has a start (and win) against a bowl team.

That is WHY he wants to see what Bergeron can do.

What I am about to say is not meant to slight Jennings, because I think he will prove to be a good QB in the future, but I think we win that game with any college QB in the last 10 years except maybe Reggie Ball

Bergeron was 282 for 399. Threw for 2978 yards, 22 TDs, and 9 INTs during 2013 (last year of JUCO).

Mett was 176 for 299. Threw for 2678 yards, 32 TDs, and 4 INTs during 2010 (last year of JUCO).

Not terrible numbers for Bergeron at all. I like him if we have to go that far in the pecking order, but lets pray we do not have to go that far in the pecking order.
