PETA are a bunch of whiny pussy bitches.
I'd be willing to bet that if any tiger could talk, he or she would gladly take up residence in Mikes habitat, as opposed to their current living conditions, wherever that may be.

Its literally like asking any given person, "Hey would you like a 4000 sq ft penthouse in New York completely paid for, along with a free Rolls Royce, and top notch personal physician, unlimited 5 star meals and your own butler?"
Who would turn that down?

Is it unhealthy to want to beat on a group of people that you've never met?

Eta: If so, then I think I'm dying, man.

As I've said, after having spent millions on the construction and upkeep of a 15,000 sq. foot big cat habitat (not to mention the countless amount of effort and resources required in amassing the type of technical knowledge required to care for such an animal), the LSU administration will yet again tell PETA to kindly frick all the way off.

The karmic benefits of removing an animal like Roscoe from the conditions from whence he came, and placing him in one of the most luxurious and sophisticated habitats on earth, are outweighed only by the amount of knowledge students and faculty derive from working so closely with one of the most endangered animals on the planet.

It's not just about parading him around in the stadium pregame... Hell lately it hasn't been about that at all.

We should just forward them the same reply letter from last time they cried about this.

Give these weirdos an inch and they'll try to take a mile.

God I can't wait till this election cycle ends. The trend of politicizing non-political issues is nauseating.

What a bunch of useless idiots. (PETA) animal activists parents should have pulled out and shot the load on an ant pile rather than making the idiot tree hugging liberal offspring

F King better not give in (i.e to PETA)

If F King gives in we need to move his office to the habitat to share with Rally Opossum and on game days spray paint F King to be a Bengal tiger and put him in the trailer so fans can boo/curse his arse for 2-3 hours.

So is TM7

They have noble causes and dumb causes. Almost like you can agree with them on some issues and disagree on others.

I guess that isn't acceptable in today's Right vs Left world. Big reason nothing ever gets done and our current political state is crap.

Do people legitimately think he's going to cave when we have a $3 million habitat on campus?

He's effed with the Greek System's food plans for crissakes (and this is from a guy who hates the idea of the Greek System tbh). He's fired 20+ year employees in an effort to filter a million dollars through his hand-picked fiefdom overseers with the LSU Band in an effort to backdoor fund the LSU School of Music using LSU Athletic Department Funds. He's forced the feckless LSU Athletic Director to commit to contributing $7 million dollars-MINIMUM-to the LSU Academic side annually. He's put the brakes on the LSU Nutrition Center (look for some news that makes this particular look even more egregious soon BTW). He's gone on the record-TWICE-talking about Financial Exigency and cancelling the LSU Football Season.

Do you really-REALLY-think he gives one blue f*ck about a $3 million habitat on campus? if so...

quote:

Basically, you can't work at LSU if you end the live mascot program.

Dude has ruined careers, enrollment numbers, and basic levels of LSU's Athletic Department ability to compete so far. Again...He does not give a blue f*ck about job security. Just look at what he's done. He's not worried. Not one bit.

quote:

Too much money went to that program, and too many people care about it.

Mike the Tiger's habitat cost $3 million. There were former high-ranking members of State Political Parties and Fortune 500 Company C-Level execs as well as multiple LSU BOS Members lined up with close to six times that amount in order to take care of our head coach and his staff back in November. He did not GAF and put the kibosh on it.

What makes you think he gives a blue f*ck about a $3 million habitat or our tradition of a live Tiger mascot?

quote:

The chances of FKing or anyone ever touching that program are incredibly small.

You're incredibly misinformed. He's Jindal-esque in his zealous pursuit of a Cabinet-level position in a Presidential Administration. If he is leaned on by the Left (PETA, Academia) he will absolutely, positively not bite the hand he wants to be fed by.

Don't be myopic.

I am afraid Mike VI will be our last live mascot because of the way people in this country are giving into the liberal retards.

Well, maybe we'll get lucky and he'll resign rather than have another live mascot...he can become a martyr for PETA's cause...and watch his future go up in flames when Trump wins in November

Does this post mean you think he will end the live mascot program? Because I don't think he will have a single iota of an impact on it and that it will continue uninterrupted long after he no longer darkens the door here. It just isn't going to happen no matter how uninformed you claim I am.

ETA: FTR, I did not downvote your post.

Jindal ruined any chance on the national stage because of his handling of LSU and other affairs.

He needs local support to have any chance at that, and he's already used up a lot of political goodwill with his handling of the budget crisis
