PETA is largely irrelevant.

LSU exposes them to bright lights and rowdy crowds at football games?

Mike the Tiger is adored and revered by most LSU fans. People love to come see him on campus, and his habitat is one of the best in the world. He gets great veterinary care. He's not mistreated.

PETA would be best served directing its energy elsewhere.

Do people legitimately think he's going to cave when we have a $3 million habitat on campus? Basically, you can't work at LSU if you end the live mascot program. Too much money went to that program, and too many people care about it. The chances of FKing or anyone ever touching that program are incredibly small.

Well everyone who wasnt a complete idiot knew we would have football this fall. Even still, he threatened it and put our shite show of a University out there with bad PR again.

I dont trust him any more than I trust PETA women to shave.

This. He hasn't exactly been a shining beacon of common sense.

Makes me sick that PETA is using a crisis to try and pass their agenda.. in typical liberal nutjob fashion.

Lol @ you if you think this is a phenomenon exclusive to liberals... but I digress.

frick PETA. I'm all for ethical and humane treatment of animals, but they've gone way above and beyond that noble endeavor to the point of being straight up militant psychopaths for years and years now. LSU is and has been doing a great service to Mike VI and has given him a great 8-9 years with top-notch medical care and a fantastic habitat.

LSU should comply and euthanize ten PETA members to put them out of their misery.

Mike is cared for better than most Zoo Tigers. No way LSU should give in to them. Most universities take excellent care of their animal mascots; every time I go to Baylor to visit my kid we go see Joy and Lady their 2 bears. Their habitat isn't as big as Mike's but it's nice and they get daily care better than our Military Veterans!

I think we just need to focus on this pitbull:

If peta really cared, they would take care of this pitbull for the rest of us.

anytime someone says get rid of mike or send him to a zoo, just needs to get replied to with okeefes letter. I think if we all do it, even our own dumb ignorant fans will finally know the facts and stop posting bullshite.

like how a tiger needs friends when they are solitary fricking animals to begin with. Ive seen this one posted a few times over the last 2 days.
