The difference is that you actually think you know of a better way to coach.

I doubt you actually try and tell bad actors how to act better. And if you did you would get laughed at just like we are laughing at your coaching tips here.

Plus, just imagine if you tried to give acting tips to someone that's wonban Oscar.

Well Miles has won an Oscar and been nominated for another one (Nat Championships). Not to mention all of the Golden Globes he's gotten (SEC championships).

So tell us oh wise sage, how can Miles improve?

You act as if it's unreasonable for a fan to think that we need to be a little bit more balanced than a 77% run offense.

Well, moneyg, I'm assuming Les Miles has spent more time with the team at practise than either you or me so I'm going to say he knows more about a the ability of his personnel either of us.

I guess he likes LF's ability to run better than BH's ability to throw down field.

It's the only way I can watch them play now.

Dude we should've won 10 with AJ at qb. Let that resinate for a sec. No reason with a better qb more experienced rest of the offense. Solid but not great D. Potential to be close to elite if Herron and gimlore and Isaiah or Clark -teuhma step up and provide quality reps. No reason to think we can't split with bama n ole miss and beat a&m as usual. And rest of west is beatable. 10-1 and who knows maybe we get n

I was watching a national sports show and one of the announcers said "why would an elite receiver go there?"

I love this meme on here. Apparently the rant thinks lsu is the only team with talent and the only team that wants to win the game.

These guys have never played football or any other competitive sport so what would you expect. They are entitled to blowouts even if it is their teams first game of the season in a hostile environment against an in conference team that plays us like a bowl game every year. They apparently think the other team has high school players and should just lay down. Someone should really tell Dak that he was outclassed talentwise and should of just stopped trying I guess.

Had this conversation with my dad the other day

He's 65, and had bypass heart surgery 10 years ago and still has to take medicine to calm him down on Saturdays because he can't take it

I'm 35 and I told as I get older now with two children I don't let it affect me as much. There are so many more important things to me now.

I told him why are you going to let what a football team does put your GD health in question?

No I don't. Save your little speech for someone else.

LSU let them off the hook. The game was no longer in their hands and they needed MSU to miss a fg and drop a conversion pass.

True, it is easier to accept it. At least you see what's happening here, the slow decline is real. I suppose the one's screaming for a change (myself included) have just woke up and the 'but we won' crowd is still blinded by the P&G glasses. Half the fan base is screaming and the rest of them act like nothing is wrong.

You're basing this on what you feel...what are your qualifications to judge? If you know better, why aren't you a coach making 4 million per year? It must suck for you, and people like you.

A shareholder doesn't need qualifications to decide if a CEO is underperforming or not.

There's no magic certification to be able to comment on college football. Many football analysts disagree on a number of topics. The qualifications of the average fan probably aren't that much less than an AD, because it's not like there is some insurmountable barrier to understanding what happens in football. The results are pretty transparent and the interim, in-game basic decision making process is also quite obvious. Being a coach or former player doesn't give you some kind of monopoly on understanding what's going on in terms of basic logic (run vs. pass, go for it or not, clock management, the general success of a strategy). Sure, the coaches obviously have access to more information and design the plays, but that doesn't disallow fans from being able to comment on the process and results.

Maybe the OP and several others in this thread come off as a little melodramatic, but so what? Sports fans get emotional about their favorite teams. Relative underperformance is usually not very enjoyable to watch. People keep harkening back to the 90s as if others are not appreciative. I think that's a rather poor attitude to have. Why shouldn't we set the bar a bit higher and actually compete for championships if we have the resources to do so?

The reality is that you can't fire Miles because he has never had a losing season here and has maintained a moderate level of success here. But he will continue to underperform relative to his compensation and resources at his disposal. It's not unreasonable for some fans to be resigned to the notion that their coach is pretty mediocre and will eek out a rather lame product.

Been there for a while now, join the club, given enough time, only the most deluded sunshine pumpers will care or seem to....the football program is a case of the good being the enemy of the best, just live with it because there will not be a consensus for change as long as things are 'good'.

Yeah... Pretty sweet 6th round pick production.

Ole Miss is putting up video game numbers.

I don't think that will continue this week, but fortunately, team 8 is very very bad and its owner doesn't seem to want to drop the dead weight. I've got Big C this week, so it's a big one for me.

That is probably the stupidest business advice I have ever heard.
I stopped reading right there because I was laughing so hard. You really believe that some poor schmuck (most Rantards) actually are qualified to judge the CEO of a major corporation? OH Yeah go to the stock holder meeting ant shout your 3 shares.

Honestly, I get exactly how the OP is feeling. I've been watching LSU football for 30 years.

Les Miles has made me miserable for at least the last 5 years. I almost dread game day because I know it's going to be a frustrating experience that just makes me mad. I can't remember the last time I actually enjoyed a game. I go into every game wondering what dumb arse shite Les Miles is going to do. I hate it. In a significant game I used to run around the house and pump my fists and make noise for a big play but now I just sit and watch in silence because I know what ends up happening.

Last night was a perfect example. After the first quarter, I was so pumped. "Things have changed" I told myself. Not too much into the 2nd quarter I saw the writing on the wall and knew CLM was still CLM and and his idiocy was going to suck yet another year of life out of this program.

There is no reason to have confidence in CLM outside of recruiting. He is going to do the same shite he has done in the last 4 or 5 years and leave us completely frustrated. Something happened to this guy. I don't know what it was or exactly when it happened.

The guy that once designed trick plays that no one had ever thought of before and used them in situations that took wheel barrel balls now tries to sit on a 14 point, first quarter lead against one of the best quarterbacks we will face all year.

I was back and forth on CLM but my moment was the Arkansas game last year. He'll never get me back.

We will be on this board in 4 months yet again talking about how Les did illogical shite that took down our season.

I have hoped over the last few years that a bulb would go off in his head and he would figure it out, but based on last night we are headed right into Groundhog Day.

Calling Scoop, Tiger_n_ATL, Choupique, BlueBoy, and all you other pathetic MF'ers.

I suppose 7-0 at this point, with good QB development, isn't good enough for you, because you hate Miles and there is somebody out there who would coach the team up the way you think is best.
