It was family in the business, but not “close family”. Guy is the brother of my brother’s wife… my SIL’s brother.
Sounds like he really gave me a great deal, but surely you can do much better....
No. The late 80’s and early 90’s saw national acts appear at varsity. The Pixies and spin doctors played one year, amongst others. The Bayou has some bands in the early 80’s that later went big, like REM. The Chimes had a good routine of acts including Mojo Nixon, IIRC.
re: A $17m charter school built on Plank Road in NBR is officially closing after just 3 years

I know someone closely associated with these 3 Idea schools.
Most of the kids get out of mommy’s car reeking of marijuana. The “families” don’t GAF, and most of the teachers view themselves as babysitters. They are given resources ((teaching materials) that stay in the shipping boxes.
The few ...

re: Taylor Swift fans going hard after negative reviewers on social media

I don’t know if I’ve ever heard a T Swift song. If I have, I couldn’t identify it.
I know I’ve heard one song by that woman on Idol with the magic tiddies about a lion roaring....

re: Do you think taking vitamins & minerals supplements does anything?

I just make sure the wife gets her vitamin D a few times per week.
Seems to be working....
re: Anybody else's grandma call cicadas "katydids"?

No, but every idiot on the internet or living in south Louisiana calls them locusts.
Like the things that live in Africa and the Middle East....

This guy is barely functional. He’s gliding through in a haze. I’ve been like that before. It typically involved a lot a psychedelics, pharmaceuticals, and copious amounts of booze.
This mutha fricka should not be responsible for a super power. It is embarrassing....
re: Of all the hot garbage appliances made today, the dishwasher has to be the worst
I’m fixing a GE dishwasher tonight. Found out the heating element went out and got a new one on Amazon for $35. Will probably take me an hour to install the new one (you have to unhook everything and pull the dishwasher out). Much better than spending $500+ on a new piece of shite with too man...
