Man I didnt see that, Marshall is lightyears ahead of Jefferson in every phase.

For a little comparison:

Nick Marshall
14/27, 217, 2 td, 1 int, 16 rushes, 45 yards, 1 td; 262 yards of offense, 3 TDs

Jordan Jefferson
11/17, 53, 0 td, 1 int, 15 rushes, 15 yards, 0 td; 68 yards of offense, 0 TDs, 2 fumbles

Nothing from last night was nearly as painful as watching the LSU offense on 1/9/12

21-0 wasn't over early. That's what made it so painful. It was 15-0 with like 5 mins left in the game. Technically we were two big plays for taking the lead.

I would have rather be a part of a game like last night. Obviously.

The little team that could. Auburn was the story of the year. Last night was a very respectable showing - FSU was on their heals for most of the game. Rags to riches - fell just short of the grand prize. Great coaching and play calling. A bunch of pretty average guys who were taught to play the game by a resourceful new coach.

They will be interesting to track next year.

21-0 but that game wasn't even that close, bama should have scored about 35 or 42

Then why didn't they?

What's painful is 1/9 just will not go away on this damn board

For a sports fan, especially a southern CFB fan, that's probably a once in a lifetime letdown. No exaggeration.

embarrassment is much more painful. 21-0 in a walk.

Agree. Nothing can ever fix 1/9/12. Nothing.

How about three in a row with one of them being shutting out Alabama at home?

was more upset by the coaching and unfair system than the score. I think it would've been closer but the defense finally threw in the towel when there were no changes made. I felt we beat ourselves more than our opponent.

Although LSU's was extra painful bc it destroyed such an epic season whereas AU didn't have such a season.

No it didn't. LSU still was the best team that played the hardest schedule and beat (what 3) conference champs? That is a fact, Jack!

21-0

Shut out
Rematch vs a team you already beat
JJ vs JL controversy
Having a perfect season completely ruined by a former coach

While Auburn steadily improved as the season progressed, they overachieved by even winning the SEC. Their luck simply ran out last night.

Last night sucked for auburn because it was a great and auburn pretty much ran out of time. Someone had to lose. 21-0 should've been worse. Bama wrecked Lsu.

Losing 21-0 is worse.

NOTHING has been more painful than 21-0, nothing.

I don't understand anyone that says they would rather lose 21-0 than like Auburn did last night.
Are you kidding me? 60 minutes of embarrassment you prefer to seeing your team giving their all up to the last seconds? WTF?
