I think the ball tailing and the wind had alot to do with him misplaying that ball. He def. looked like a true freshman on his strikeout tonight after swinging at two balls above his head and missing a changeup by about 2 feet. That being said, his first homerun was absolutely crushed.

I'm not doubting that the guy is quick, but 4.3 is pushing it I think. 4.3 is close to world class speed, that's like saying Hanover throws 100 mph from third.

Surely the guy doesn't know that his dad is dead.

Second.

All three Harvard Of's just stood there and watched. And kept looking at the replay. I don't think they believed the ball went that far.

Thanks for the info, good for him. I am happy he is performing he turned down a full ride from UConn in football/baseball for a roster spot here so that is great, hopefully he will get some money at the end of the year.

Leon Landry is a below average CF who strikes out way too much. Mahtook should get a chance on the weekend.

This is a very true statement. He's a great kid, but anyone who doesn't see this either doesn't know BB or is just a homer and doesn't want to criticize an LSU player.

If you don't believe me, ponder this: You know that sick feeling you get in your stomach when LL steps to the plate and we need a timely hit. Kinda like when Helenihi steps up. That feeling is why LL is not that great of a player -- its reality.

One last point: True freshman, Hanover, is already a more selective and disciplined hitter than LL.

If you disagree w/ everything I stated above then answer this: Is LL a better hitter than Hanover?

Mahtook should get a shot.

The second HR was the bomb over the scoreboard.

football testing??? who was holding the stop watch, his dad??

Yea maybe since you didn't play football you wouldn't know that usually you test your strength and speed over the summer. He ran 2 times with two different coaches timing him and the average was a 4.3. But I already said he ran a 4.4 at one of the combines.

I didn't, I apologize for saying that. Didn't mean to make an insensitive statement like that.

Not too many people can run a 4.3, I saw trindon run 4.29 twice in high school. Since I have seen a high schooler run a 4.3, I just don't see MM matching that number in HS.

I figured you didn't know this. I think that is probably why you caught some shite for saying it. His dad literally dropped dead on a tennis court several years ago.

Dude I saw it with my own eyes. Why in the hell would I lie about something like that. But again, he ran a 4.4 with the sparq laser, which is his "real" time.

I know this, but some positions are deeper than others, and some we can afford to give someone else a shot.

A guy like Dean has a proven track record.

Leon Landry, not so much.

You have to wonder if all those HR's LL hit at the beginning of the season off less than great pitching is what has caused his issues at the plate. I am unable to watch the games so this is just speculation on my part.

Not trying to be picky, but it was more like 15 years ago.

Several years ago vs. more like 15 years ago. I wasn't sure how long ago, but I knew MM was very young. I am from Lafayette too, BTW. Acadiana High grad.

If he is capable of running a 4.3, why isn't he on the football field. He's a solid 200 pounds huh?
