REVISED ALTERNATIVE FROM ANOTHER THREAD:

UGA-UF play 10/22 in Athens.
-extra true home game for UGA as incentive for getting sucked into this mess. Both teams currently have this date open.

LSU-UF play 10/29 in JACKSONVILLE
-the new and improved "World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party" (with a twist)
-UGA fans with current tickets and reservations have option to keep them.

Jacksonville, much like BR, should not get screwed over due to UF/SEC poor planning and decision making.

UF is the one that gets screwed the most. Gainesville can mount their own revolt on the powers that be in and around The Swamp.

UPDATE: see page 2 post for longer explanation of current options.

Solution for you... Don't read those threads.

All solutions have not been vetted and LSU needs to back the best available for LSU! (Not at all saying this is it.)

I'd add a caveat, just simply because LSU can (at this time).

Contingent on NCAA giving waiver for LSU, only, to host recruits at a neutral site event.

10/29 May have been floated, but not LSU-UF in Jacksonville.

Most of our storm claims are in Jacksonville

It'd be hilarious if they told Florida that LSU was taking their place this year at the WLOCP and they're now ruled ineligible for the postseason. LMAO. I know, not possible, but I can dream.

Exactly... And can consider splitting some of net profits for Jacksonville/BR storm damages.

It's not the same as seeing their Dawgs play... But some UGA fans might still enjoy watching UF get waxed.

The best solution I have seen is moving Arkansas to out bye week, play Florida the week of south Alabama, and play south Alabama the week of the ark game

This is ridiculous absolutely will not happen. Anybody who floats it as a legit possibility cannot be taken seriously. You're butthurt--I get it, I am too--and you just want to punish Florida. But it's just not happening.

way too many moving parts for that one. That'd be bringing another conference into this mess

So all of those UGA fans and UGA corporate sponsors who pay for space in Jacksonville will now want to magically go see LSU v UF? By God, you might be onto something.

There is no perfect solution... Somebody/some enterprise is going
to lose as a result of this SNAFU.

What's your solution?

What incentive does Arky get to do this??? SEC-brethren good will?

At least UGA has a form of compensation in this proposal.

What incentive does Florida have for your suggestion? We couldn't get them to play a game in their home stadium, you think we are going to convince them to switch a game from a neutral site to their rivals' place? Get real.

After Tennessee' loss and with them having Bama this week, there's even less incentive for Florida to play the game. No way they are going to Athens.
