Yeah...b/c last years team was as talented as 2014 & 2012 right?
Is this real life??? 2016 was more talented than both of those teams....
Of the 2016 game, the 2016 recruiting offseason, and this 2017 game @T-Town, this is the least likely of the three for LSU to win.
Call me crazy... but since 2 of those are past events, I would wager this game is the MOST likely for LSU to win....

re: General Consensus of LSU on tide forums - alumni95
Meh, this is the worst I've felt about LSU's chances in the last 15 years, but yes, there is still a chance.
Worst chance I’ve thought we ever had was 2008 with the J Lee pick-6 machine in full effect and Bama riding in undefeated. We took them to OT that year and I was pleasantly...

Apparently the same way CURLEY HALLMAN beat a defending national champion Bama that was riding a 28 game win streak while the tigers finished 5-6. ETA: I don’t agree with it, but that’s theoretically how....

re: Favorite wins over Ole Miss - alumni95
My favorite play from that game was watching metsiah and his 5.9 40 speed rumble 25 yards on a bootleg to set up that goal line kneel.
Check the film... Mett actually scored on that play. IIRC, Miles was in no mood to challenge it, since he was pretty pissed that Mett ad-libbed th...

re: Favorite wins over Ole Miss - alumni95
2014 was great because they were still undefeated and under some kind of delusion they were going to the title game.
Yep... and I called AT LEAST 3 season losses for them before our game multiple times here. They finished with 4 losses....

re: Since the topic of Coach O being a good coach won't go away, I'll throw in my 2 cents - alumni95
here we are, 5-2 with still everything in front of them to play for. Nothing is actually lost.
SEC West is still in play. But for the record: Playoff shot is lost. Near 50-game home non-con win streak is lost. And certainly a whole lot of pride and respectability was...

re: Since the topic of Coach O being a good coach won't go away, I'll throw in my 2 cents - alumni95
If Miles was not considered mediocre at the end of his tenure, then the problem was he was certainly trending that way. His HIGHLY talented teams lost a minimum of 3 SEC games in each of his final 3 full seasons and he had already lost 2 games (1 non-SEC) in his short start of 2016. The passing ...
And for the money, and what other coaches were asking for, I think it was the right business move... with a short leash.
There are 12 million reasons that disagree with that statement. And if we had to pony up for the highest paid OC/DC tandem, was it STILL a good business move...
