Nick's cleverly screwing LSU

Posted by carrell on 12/3/16 at 2:37 am
Nick does nothing and says nothing unless it is to make his chances for success better. You have to admire his dedication to "the process." So Nick doesn't want Kiffin coaching at another SEC school. What's the solution? Proclaim publicly how Lane is ready to be a head coach again. And since ...

Yes, LSU has "quit" once before...

At the end of the 1969 season, when the Cotton Bowl passed over a 9-1 LSU team that had the best rushing defense in the country, a team undefeated Texas with its run-heavy Wishbone offense did not want to perhaps ruin its national title hopes, the team voted to not accept any lesser bowl bid. For t...
Chuck U Farley I think QB development will be a top priority now. 13-1 is not just getting by. He also beat 2-3 of those BCS game winners. Think he is stubborn. This game may humble his opinion of his own coaching abilities, which could benefit us greatly.
Les will learn? Reall...

Robin is very tasty (but illegal I think). Never tried grackle....
You could ask the same question about any fan-base (for example UT here in Austin...). The answer is that every fan-base has arrogant douchebags in it. I do wonder about the percentages though....

Eating Blackbird, Not Crow

Posted by carrell on 1/4/12 at 4:05 pm
OK,OK, last year I gave Les grief over the way LSU played, abysmal clock & game management, pointed out that Crowton was a major issue Les needed to address (berated Les for holding onto Crowton too long). This year I have my doubts about how he has managed the QBs, but then again I don't have all ...

re: Gary Danielson's 6-team playoff idea

I'd go for the big four bowls feeding a "semifinal" set of bowls, the two winners at that level playing in the title game. Each year #1 plays #8, #2 plays #7 and so on. The only problem with all of these ideas is that they don't suck up to the Rose Bowl, PAC1x, and Big1x, especially Jim Delaney....
One can only hope. Someone else deserves a shot at LSU. Besides, I am quite sure Cowpokes taste better to Tigers than Red Elephants do....
SpicyStacy There has to be more to the JL story The game was a blowout u fricking moron. Jesus christ please go drink some frickin clorox
The rectitude and logic of your thought processes is surely proven by your gratuitous ad hominem attacks....

There is something else going on here, and one of them is a certain blindness by CLM: * He would put JJ in for a 90% running down, but not JLee for a 90% passing down. * He would yank JLee for two INTs (against a dominant Alabama), but not JJ for an INT and a safety (against a markedly inferior...
I dunno - I think Oregon's get's a lot of positive sentiment since they lost earlier compared to OK or Alabama. And the PAC12 *does* have a championship game now, which the Big12 does not. If Oregon wins out and OSU loses to OK. Oregon will be higher ranked in BCS by virtue of playing in a league...

re: HOW CAN ANY FANS GRIPE?

A frag is a lot less effort Rick. Plus I think killing at a distance is where it is at. One round from an M14 at 400M would suit me just fine....

Pray for the Cowboys to stay undefeated

I really don't want LSU to play a do-over in the BCS Title game. :yack: The opponents would be motivated to win a title plus proving the loss was bogus (especially Oregon, whose fans whine pretty much non-stop about their loss). That is stronger motivation and an advantage for them. Please...
The entire article is victim-speak. JaMarcus could change his life anytime he wants. But does he want to? The facts are that he doesn't. So it is all on him....

Stewart Mandel is Wrong

[link=(http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/stewart_mandel/10/26/mailbag.stanford/1.html)]SI on LSU vs Stanford[/link] Look about halfway down the page. I disagree with Mandel's answer though. Nobody in Hawaii or its conference was in danger of being shocked, and everyone expects Ha...

re: I was wrong about Coach Miles

Posted by carrell on 10/23/11 at 11:38 pm
Last year was no surprise and this year is no surprise. As long as LSU had Crowton, and Miles was responsible for hanging on to that guy for at least one year too long. Now that Crowton is gone, LSU is playing to its potential. So far....

re: Wing blames himself for lost TD

Posted by carrell on 10/11/11 at 12:49 am
LSU should have been penalized at the spot Wing started the run from. It was the ultimate taunt by Wing, a mere punter, to decide on his own to run for it. LSU should have turned the ball over on downs at 4th and almost 30 because of Wing's egregious taunting....
