SO. How many TITLES has Les won????????????
I don't see why you think winning the SEC is such a big thing..... YES to make the NC game its a must but LSU hasn't been there in three years........ And after 8 [EIGHT ]wins THIS year... AGAIN 8[EIGHT]Wins this year I am not so sure about Les.......

No, not really. He just got a raise in 2013 when Arkansas (the team that shut us out this year) flirted with him. Since then, we've gone to the Outback Bowl and now the Music City Bowl. We also have not beaten Bama while Ole Miss and Auburn have (even A&M has beaten them more recently). Do you think the last two years have met or surpassed expectations? We finished 3rd in the west in 2012 (two games behind Bama/Auburn) and 5th in the West this year since Auburn beat us head-to-head. Miles has done a very good job in a profession that can chew up head coaches. And he is paid accordingly. The last two years' results shouldn't inspire a raise. Maybe next year...

Out of curiosity, has anyone actually said they believe that at this juncture, if Michigan offered him more money than we are paying him and Les was inclined to accept the offer that we should give him a raise/extension? I, for one, would tell Les good riddance in that situation. Completely different scenario than following the 2012 season.

This might be the dumbest thing I've ever read on here, and that's saying alot.
Miles's salary has absolutely nothing to do with public funds or "economics of this country". His salary is funded completely by LSU fans who are willing to donate a portion of their own monies to LSU sports.
