LSUs resume
conference finish (positive)
Last 15 (Postive, outside of aTm Series)
record vs top 50 (positive)
record vs top 25 (neutral right now but could be a plus)
RPI (neutral but could be a positive by the end)
SOS (big negative)
OCC (big negative)
Bad losses (One vs Tulame and Yale.)
Good wins (Vandy split, Series win vs Ole Miss, series sweep vs MSU, 3-1 vs Ark)
going into the SECt those two big negatives were enough to keep us from hosting, but after our success we moved up into hosting position.

The top 20 or so have been more fluid that i've seen it in a long time. Teams in and out of both top 8 and hosting.
Even outside the top 20 you had Ind State and Mercer go out early. Liberty could today as well.

Typical Lafayette trash, grow up man there is no need for that kind of language on this board

That would make for a great porno

Jimmie and Charlie were just saying USC and vandy will both be on edge the next few days as they're both in jeopardy of not even hosting a regional. One of them will get one IMO (possibly both, but most likely only one), and it'll probably be USCe. Many scoffed yesterday at the notion of USC being in some trouble.
It's a razor thin margin between teams 7-18ish this year. Just as LSU can go from bubble regional host to potential national seed, USC and vandy have gone from potential national seed to one of the Last-In for a regional host.

Since 2010, there has only been 3 of the 32 National Seeds finish outside the top 10 in RPI after conference tournaments.
2013 - 0
2012 - 1 (South Carolina 11 who prob benefited from winning the 2 previous CWS)
2011 - 2 (Texas 12 Rice 11)
2010 - 0
Chances are slim for a National Seed if you aren't one of those top 10 RPI schools.
But this season seems to be a little different.
Based on the top 8 seeds over the past 5 seasons the average RPI difference between the highest RPI and lowest RPI is about .03656.
This season if they went with that average then the top 8 seeds could come from any of the top 22 RPI teams right now.
The parity this season is incredible shown by the difference between the #1 RPI and #10 RPI:
2014: .0174
2013: .04185
2012: .03186
2011: .03474
2010: .03652
2009: .02191
2014 is less that 2009 and that season teams with the 17th (Oklahoma) and 18th (UC Irvine) RPI got a National Seed. After looking at this I think there will be a surprise or 2 in the national seeds.

It would be easy to stick Vandy in Louisville's regional and UK to Bloomington.
If L'ville wins the tourney then thats regular season and tourney titles. UK already swept Louisville so that wouldnt be a reward for either team.

Thats the only way the PAC 12(outside of Oregon State) could compete this year. Turn it in to Water Polo.

I still think Oklahoma State may get one if they win the Big 12 Tourny. That would include two wins over Texas and another over probably TCU.

IMO, one of those two big12 schools is definitely getting a spot (TCU or OSU)

Texas will either be in Rice's regional AND/OR face A&M in the 2/3. I dont see any other options for them.
I could see SHSU or Texas Tech in our regional.

I'm trying to remember the last time two teams from the same conference were placed in the same regional
