I'm gonna guess that he runs in the mid-upper 4.4's at the combine. Maybe a 4.5 flat.
I don't think so man. People don't realize that anything in the 4.4's for a large RB is moving real damn fast. Look I hope Hill gets drafted first among RB's and goes in the first round. However, I know that's probably not going to happen. There is a reason that most people don't have Hill as the first RB taken. Its not a conspiracy or an anti-LSU movement, its just reality.

Screams lazy reporting to me honestly. He had his troubles and before and throughout the 2013 season, he had absolutely no issues.
Not to me really...Hill did what he did and very easily could have been kicked off the team. This is what you get when you do something negative in college. Let's let it be used to teach other young players what the results of your actions are.
Hill is a great player, and probably in the top 2 of this class, but I applaud the efforts to make sure these athletes are held up to the standards of our society when it comes to breaking the law.
Those issues need to be looked at the same way they are if he were applying for a job with any company willing to throw MILLIONS of dollars at a perspective employee to represent their name.

Carlos Hyde is a better player than Hill.

The one statement I'll make is I'm not too familiar with the other RBs because I didn't really watch them this year.

It's my opinion though, so you can disagree with me if you want.
This is all I'm getting at. If you haven't seen all the other backs in this class, I wouldn't blindly pick JH33.
With that being said, the only other tailbacks I'd put ahead of him are Hyde & Ka'Deem Carey.

Gonna be a steal if he is the 5th RB taken.

This opinion is equally as silly using your previous logic as such: Have you seen all of these guys work out at the combine? I wouldn't blindly pick Hyde and Carey over Hill until they work out at the combine.

IMO. The teams that like Hill are going to continue to get this stuff put out there, via the media, to try to influence the competition. If you're a G.M. that likes Hill, why talk him up before the draft.

I understand his past issues have hurt him, but in terms of talent, he is the best guy out there.

I disagree. Running QB's help juice up the numbers by causing a defense to worry about two runners rather than one. It increases the responsibility of the linebackers and DE's as opposed to dealing with just a pocket passer. Also, Hill played in the toughest conference out of the two.
The only way to compare the two against a common opponent is to look at Iowa.
Hyde had 24 carries for 149 yards and 2 TDs / with an experienced duel threat QB who rushed for 1068 yards and 10 TDs.
Hill had 28 carries for 216 yards and 2 TDs / with a true freshman QB making his first start.
Clearly one had to carry the team in rushing each game whereas the other had help against the same opponent. Braxton Miller in that same game had 18 carries and 102 yards rushing. Jennings had 5 carries and -31 yards. Hill clearly carried his team. Also, Hill did not even play in the first game of the season.

I have no idea who is the most talented RB this year.
What I am shocked no one has brought up is Hyde had a 3 game suspension and is still #1 on this list. Either a Buckeye fan, or he thinks Hill's flags are more red than Hyde's.
I have said this before; I think if you switch Hill and Hyde on the football teams, they have similar production. They are similar backs, with good high end speed for big backs. Hill a little more shifty, Hyde a little more power, but similar

How do their fighting abilities compare?

Hill learned from JJ so no comparison.

When I was a senior in HS...I too would have let a hot Freshman do to me what she did to Hill.

So why is this "lazy reporting"? Did he not have off the field troubles? Should there not be red flags? Dude was arrested for assault less than a year ago, while on probation.
Why is this "lazy reporting"?
Sounds like you're just being a homer and will attack anyone who doesn't have anything but good comments to make about LSU.
Take off your purple and gold glasses and look at the facts.

Because it was one of the first things brought up that happened almost a year ago now. An entire season has come and gone without a single issue from Hill. To me it just sounds like he needed something else to add in there for his article.

Ok, so he let a high schooler give him a blow jay. Big deal. He gets slapped with all kind of charges bc the Dad didn't want to think about his little girl like that.
Sure, he punched a guy outside of Tigerland and that can obviously be something he mentions, but to me it should be a footnote on what's otherwise been a stellar career at LSU.

If this was solely based on his football skills, he would be #1 RB on that list, no doubt in my mind.
I still would put trey mason ahead of him. I'd put Hill at #2. Mason was a damn hoss.
