It's hard to argue against Mason, but Auburn ran a lot of misdirection plays. He has a lot of talent, not going to lie about that. But I'm interested to know what his output would be if Mason was installed in our offense.

Well I do. It is Lache Seastrunk then J. HILL. The rest of the pack are just normal RB's.

Another reason why no one knows who the best running back in the class is. Everyone has different opinions on who they think is the best, no agreement on who really is.

You can make an argument for almost all the top 4 backs to be the most dominate, but what does that really mean?

The combine will be a great showcase for these backs

But JH33 is the best

Ok, so he let a high schooler give him a blow jay. Big deal. He gets slapped with all kind of charges bc the Dad didn't want to think about his little girl like that. Sure, he punched a guy outside of Tigerland and that can obviously be something he mentions, but to me it should be a footnote on what's otherwise been a stellar career at LSU.

NFL teams don't look for reasons to draft kids with troubled pasts, they look for reasons not to draft them. If you have to rationalize the situation, then they've already passed on you.

You're complaining about this reporting mentioning red flags and you come on here and spew this crap about that girl and her father?

Shame on you!

Nfl Players get hit with substance abuse, DUIs and battery... And they want to bitch and nit pick about a fight and a poor decision in high school. GTFO of here

He's actually not. He'll be decent for a year or three, but Hill will be elite. I'd take him, Carey, and either Grice or Mason as my third.

Jeremy Hill #5 RB

Interviews are going to be the key, if he performs at the combine and opens up he will be the top back drafted I believe. Main thing will be openly answering the questions from coaches and team personnel

And he actually speaks very well with the media, is engaging and gives intelligent responses.
So he was 17 (and still in high school) and let a 14 year old girl slobber his knob; and punched a drunk frat boy that was cursing him (BTW the whole video never came out showing the frat boy not even hurt jumping up and continuing to harass Hill.)

I've listened to Hill's interviews and he does not come off as a red flag for anything. Dude sounds intelligent and well put together and these incidents are typical of what you see from young people (hell old people too). Those things he did were blown way out of proportion.

His off the field issues are going to make him a late. 2nd or early 3rd round steal for someone.

He may be the best back in the class , and has fewer carries in college than all of them having only played in about 18-22 games full time due to the depth we have, and his legal issues.

They will grill him like they did TM7 and they way he responded was part of the reason the Cards drafted him as early as they did. They admitted that TM7 interviewed well, was open and honest with his past mistakes, and was ready to move on.
A lot of people are over blowing his off field incidents really, I know the incident in high school looks bad but if it was only because he was considered an adult by law then it isn't nothing many of is did. Him punching a guy isn't a huge deal as well in my opinion, if you've ever been in Tigerland you wouldn't want to do the same.

These rankings don't mean dick. When he runs a 4.5 and shows his combine numbers he'll immediately jump to #1 and not a single frick will be given that day about his red flags.

To say Sexual assault insinuates that he forced himself on the girl. IMO, having 9th graders on the same campus as 18 or 19 year olds isn't a good idea if you don't want these kids being involved with each other. I have a bigger issue with him punching the guy outside a bar. When the scouts do there research, I don't expect either incident to effect his draft status.

And it is the same type of thing with Ohio St. OSU's QBs ran for more yards and TDs than Hyde did.

Janoris Jenkins made it. The whole "red flags" deal is mostly smoke and mirrors by most teams. I just JH33 goes to a team that is actually on tv regularly.

I would bet a lot of money he isn't the 5th RB taken. He has pro type NFL RB size and speed. He has that extra gear and very seldom is he caught from behind. Wasn't over used at LSU. This always helps our RB in the NFL. He is going to shine at the combine and get picked late 2nd round.

Hill comes with red flags

Screams lazy reporting to me honestly. He had his troubles and before and throughout the 2013 season, he had absolutely no issues.

Absolutely. Carl Nicks came with red flags too and that dropped him to the 5th round or whatever it was. However the Saints saw past that and got really good value for him (1st round talent for 5th round pick). Same thing is going to happen to Hill. Somebody is going to do a deeper dive, discover that he really doesn't have character issues and get a great value.

There is not a running back in the draft that is more NFL-ready than JH. I am guessing that those in the position to make a drafting decision and know that. If there is a team that has a need for running back and passes him over for one of the "top 4," they will come to regret that decision.

Depend on how he tests for scouts, and how his interviews go. He's late second, early third round most likely.
