I feel day 1 starter. We shall see but he shoots at a high percentage and has been around the program an extra year on Grey. They could both start, especially if JOB leaves.

I think its Hickey, Grey, Hornsby, Martin, Mickey. But if JOB stays, I'd imagine Martin stays outside more.

You think Morgan is a possible way for us to open up a spot?

I'll say it here...

I have a sneaky feeling JOB3 will be returning (Mickey as well).

Bridge is gone and Shane is transferring most likely (though I could see Odo processed if Shane wants to stick it out).

Unfortunately, yes. I hope the best for Malik and I hope it works out for him, but he certainly is a possible transfer. There were rumblings all summer that he was considering leaving. He knows he will likely get stuck behind Hornsby and Grey which could make him think about it. He wants more PT than he has gotten at LSU. Not selfish, but like any competitor, he wants to play.

Martin is definitely NOT ready to move on. To me he was a big disappointment.

He certainly made vast strides as the year went on. The biggest to me was his ability to contort his body to get around defenders. Early on he was good for 1 charge a game. Lately, he swipes past the defender and gets the block call. Has been a very impressive mid-season change that has helped him vastly.

Still has some work to do, but in no way would I say a disappointment. Just has some more work.

Maybe you shouldn't assume every highly-rated prospect will come in and dominate. Most everyone knew he was pretty raw, then you couple that with his early-season injury and this is what you get.

That said, did you watch the 2nd half of the season? He came on really strong. If he continues this improvement and cuts some weight this offseason, there's no way in hell he sticks around after next year.

i said this on the RB the other day, i think martin could be poised for a huge year next yr especially if he spends more time in the post at both ends if/when johnny is gone. i expect a big jump.

Agree 100%.

I think losing some weight, improving his footwork along with normal development and he can have a strong year next year, then opt for the NBA draft. If he does that, he will be drafted.

I was thinking the samething. He would a appear to be second on the block behind Shane for opening up a spot. He transfers and can use his red shirt year while healing. It's unfortunate bc I liked him

this years nba draft will be pretty deep. obryant may think he can move up 10 spots in next years draft. he's nowhere near ready, but I think mickey is one that we have to worry about.

All the articles I've read on European basketball is that many places do not income tax USA basketball players playing over there.

I wouldn't count on Hickey being on the team next season. He's had off the court problems every fall. He'll probably be on the team. But you never know.

I don't think Martin has any interest in being a post player. He's been told that his future in the NBA is as a SF, and I would suspect that he came to LSU with a promise that he was almost exclusively going to be a 3. We saw a very small glimpse of it against UK, but he can be a difference maker at the 3 IF he's willing to attack the basket. One of my biggest complaints this year with this team is that Martin was allowed to simply be just a spot-up, below avg., 3 point shooter. There were far too few times that he caught the ball on the wing and attacked the basket. When he did, he generally finished or got to the line.

I don't think they want Mickey at the 5.

I'd expect Hickey, Gray, Martin, Mickey, Robinson. The staff sees Robinson as a potential one and done. If he's in shape, he'll start.

I expect Martin to make huge strides on his perimeter game in the offseason. He'll stay at the three.

He's been suspended during 67% of the seasons he's played here.
