It's hard to gain a ton of yards when LSU's kicker pins the opponent deep and LSU ends up with the ball at their own 40 most of the time.

It's beyond silly for fans of either team to try to diminish each other's team. In fact, I can't ever remember 2 teams that literally beat their opponents in nearly the exact same way as LSU and Bama do this year. The teams are mirror images of each other.

If the teams are exactly the same, they aren't mirror images of each other. They are exactly the same.

One of the reasons Lsu's defense has looked so dominate is because they have been fortunate to play some teams with critical injuries to key positions. The QBs Lsu got to beat up on for Florida, Tennessee, and Auburn were jokes. The Auburn QB we faced was their starter. No one was hurt, Moseley beat out Trotter for the starting job. We faced their best quarterback, at least in the eyes of their coaching staff.

Yeah, I know, he was just so sad, I figured I'd lump him in there. I also didn't mean to infer that Lsu hasn't caused a lot of the injuries they have been taking advantage of, LMJ is a good example. I just think back to a lot of the games this year, and there's been something that happened before or during the game that gave our D a strange advantage.

THIS. Other than field goal kicking and Maze in the punt return game, Bama's special teams are terrible. LSU has a huge advantage in this area.

Bama's d is good and well coached. But they are no where near as tested as ours. Their stats might be good but hindsight is 20/20. Both teams are playing well and deserving of their billing. I still think its not going to end close. Maybe coming out of the gate but we are playing lights out and with a ton of depth. Seems no drop off as we play our whole roster just about. Bama wears down and we put them away.

I've noticed alot of talk about LSU's depth around here, as if it's an advantage. Has everyone forgotten that Alabama has 3 of the last 4 top recruiting classes, and a full roster?

You say that like you have something we don't. How many guys are you rotating on d? And don't forget we are doing it with mostly underclassmen. And your offense will have its hands full with our defense in the 4th promise. How many guys will rotate on offense to keep fresh against us?

+1 LSU has been doing this all season. And HB7 proves that 'top' recruits mean shite. Play the game stupid..

I don't dispute anything you said. I recognize that LSU is every bit as deep and talented as Bama. Bama rotates plenty on D, especially the DLine. You should know that since it's a Nick Saban team. How much rotation are you supposed to do on offense? We dont rotate QB's, thank god. We rotate in TE's and WR's like everyone else. If we are worried about our Offense keeping fresh in this game, then you will have problems.

Fortunately for Bama, LSU ranks well below both of those teams

Got to admit, that was kinda funny.

They have held all the teams they played to under their season average.

This is one of the things Auburn was bragging about before they played us. Their defense was improving and holding their opponents to below their averages.

Basically if all you can respond with is if I'm worried about your offense being fresh we have problems then you must not realise what I was intending. Your fellow fans are saying bama won't wear down and plays its best in the 4th. Which tells me you wear down teams by the 4th and take over. I'm stating that won't be the case against us. We rotate like we are playing three different defenses and have to make time to play them all. While mostly your entire starting offense will still be there in the 4th after having to block taking hit after hit and play after play. Your offense will tire before our defense. And while you have two good backs to pound our d with we have 5 .... And they all have seen action and made plays this yr. I think we will constantly have fresh legs against your defense at all times. Can you say the same with as much confidence?
