You mean how Bama allowed less yards, gained more yards, and won by the same margin as LSU did against UT? What exactly did you see from that?

Nebraska, as in the Huskers, in their prime can destroy any other team in their prime.

A few differences:

LSU was playing at UT. Even if UT sucks, it was still a road game.

LSU scored MORE points than Bama did, if you want to play that silly game.

LSU destroyed UT in time of possession -- holding the ball for 38+ minutes (>8 minutes in each quarter, including 12+ minutes in 4th quarter, just like Bama).

LSU scored every time it entered the redzone (6 of 6), while Bama scored 5 of 7 times, including 2 FG's. 3 for 7 on TD's in the redzone against Tennessee, but you're on here acting like Bama is God's gift to offense.

LSU rushed for 237 yards, or 4.8 per carry. Bama managed 143 for 3.8 ypc.

LSU had 199 return yards. Bama squeaked out 69.

LSU had no turnovers in the game, Bama's QB threw a pick.

We can do this all day -- LSU and Bama are both really good, but I can pick whatever stats I want too.

I do not think they are a paper tiger but I do think we beat them resoundingly.

LSU 37

Bama 13

All of college football is down hence why everyone seems weak compare to Bama.

Maybe we could have beat Custer.

That's because they did so well in BCS games against SEC opponents.

Thier defense was top 5 in the nation statistically last year too, but that didnt mean shite when LSUs juggernaut offense put 24 on them.

Look at the ol' Bama guy coming up with a BOOM. That was pretty good.

Well, according to the SEC Rant, Penn St. is a powerhouse defense and they just tore them apart.

Penn St. is a top 10 defense.

Then, they like to bring up LSU playing Northwestern, as if every team in the country don't play patsies.

Listen, this isn't going to be a blowout. One of the reasons Lsu's defense has looked so dominate is because they have been fortunate to play some teams with critical injuries to key positions. The QBs Lsu got to beat up on for Florida, Tennessee, and Auburn were jokes. When teams are forced into a one dimensional offense, of course they are going to get demolished, unless you're built like Wisconsin tradionally is.

I do think the Tigers can pull it off, but it's going to be a motherfricker of a game, just as advertised. They have the refs on their side for sure, which will aid them a great deal. How many games did they go last year without a holding call? Like 8 in a row? Lsu has several big advantages, offense, Brad Wing, we've played a tougher schedule, and we force turnovers like nobody's bitness.

Alabama's defense is no paper Tiger. From the two games I've watched, they seem to be more physical, and have more experience. Lsu is faster, more inconsistant, but like I said, Lsu forces a LOT of turnovers. I just hope at some point we take Richardson and chuck his arse into Ole Nicky, Peyton style.

Thing is, he's talking about yardage per game. Why doesn't he go take a gander at scoring rankings. You know, points. The thing you need to win.

The best offense Bama has faced is Ark (22). The next best offense is Miss St at 75.

Bama hasn't played Mississippi State. Did you mean Ole Miss?

fortunately for LSU they have faced way better QB's than bama's QB that cant throw worth a shite... LSU's DB's will have a field day if bama's QB throws the ball more than 10 yds past the LOS. That bama QB is WEAK !!!!!!!!!

This. Bama's passing game consists almost completely of screens and slants. There's going to be alot of massive hits on Nov. 5!

It is comical, however, to hear fans of Alabama trotting out total defense rankings. I am not an LSU fan and even I get a chuckle out of their false bravado. I'm pretty sure it's more whistling past the graveyard, and less that they actually buy into these skewed rankings.

I have do disagree with you there. There is no doubt whatsoever that they actually buy into these rankings.

The Auburn QB we faced was their starter. No one was hurt, Moseley beat out Trotter for the starting job. We faced their best quarterback, at least in the eyes of their coaching staff.

You mean the stat that shows where Bama has scored exactly 1 more point (315 total for Bama to 314 total for LSU) on the season than LSU?

It's beyond silly for fans of either team to try to diminish each other's team. In fact, I can't ever remember 2 teams that literally beat their opponents in nearly the exact same way as LSU and Bama do this year. The teams are mirror images of each other.
