When he knows where he is going with the ball, that's the biggest take from his comments.

So your answer is no, it's not as simple as his feet.

He can be accurate on occassion, but he gets rattled and starts making mistakes.

Fair enough.

I think he's just a juiced up young man with a lot of emotion and energy. You could see it when he arrived on campus.

Side story- guy I knew played qb in HS. When he was about to go in his first game, we saw him on the sideline bouncing up and down because he was so pumped up.....threw 2 picks in 4 passes.

Harris shouldve been running the ball at lease 8 times a game in the read option. I mean, while the hell wouldn't he?

He's not a read option guy, he wants to stand back in the gun and sling the ball. One of the things he disliked about Cam/Miles was them forcing the designed runs on him.

People on here such as myself knew he didn't know how to set his feet properly, Fedora isn't expressing anything new. But this is a TOTAL failure by the previous staff, they never addressed it, never fixed it, so Miles and Cameron, especially Cameron deserved to be fired. shite, Dameyeune Craig tried to fix Harris' throwing issues and it wasn't even his job to do. Harris was at the Manning passing academy I remember right before his final season at LSU and Eli Manning tried to fix his feet and his throwing woes. Dude just kept going back to what he knew how to do when throwing. Hopefully, Fedora can have success were others have failed breaking him out of bad habits.

Yes, GermantownTiger, they would havetaught him not to throw the ball to the Wisconsin defender.

Seriosly, you believe this?

I'll tell you the truth. Brandon Harris has no composure. And here is no coach in the world who can teach it to him.

This is the important part of the coaches comments.... "and he can be plenty accurate when he knows where he is going with the ball"......
Fedora will try to cater to this and give Brandon two options. If the two options aren't there he'd probably rather Brandon scramble and improvise. He might just find a little success with this approach.

Problem Is, above average defenses will wear him out.

you can coach a player all you want but the player is the one that has to not revert back to the problem during duress. think how many coaches tried to change and coach Tebow' s mechanics.
I find it almost impossible that a coach, that has coached and been a very successful offensive coordinator at the highest level possible, wouldn't have seen things you and i can see.
I know Cam didn't do well here but he has been a the coordinator of some high powered nfl offenses.

it could happen i guess

He is a great athlete with a strong arm.

Did not show the head to run the offense out of a pocket with limited offensive schemes at LSU and Miles offense did not make the best use of his talents

Dude fixing a Qb's feet when he throws is a pretty simple thing to do. If your feet isn't set properly on a throw the ball sails, that's just fact. Harris was showed this by other people like I said, Manning being one of them, but he just kept going back to his old habits when throwing. Cameron could have easily fixed this by working with Harris on it, but seemed to distracted with other shite to do so. Yes, he (Cameron) was a OC at a lot of places and had success at some and failed badly at other places, but I'm glad he's not at LSU anymore because I never cared for his coaching style.

It's tough for a quarterback to have any real success when you only throw on 3rd down

Now that he is at NC he'll finally receive far better coaching that may still give him a chance for an NFL career. I hope so for his sake, as he is a very well spoken young man who has only spoken well of LSU since leaving.

Also, according to Danny Etling, Coach Canada has also been working with him to fix his foot work issues too.

“It’s still developing, something I’m working on with my footwork and continue to get better and better, with coach Canada teaching me to get better every single day,” he said.

There wasn't ever a point where I didn't think Harris had enough talent. I 100% blame the coaches and scheme for not having a clue how to develop a QB. They always wanted the QB to get by on talent alone.
Yet he was inaccurate on short easy throws. So many of you just believed so much that he was great that you can't take an objective look at the guy. He wasn't very good, and was terrible at some throws.

if footwork is so easy to correct then every nfl qb would have perfect footwork.
and you think that a coach that was a head coach or offensive coordinator since 1994 missed it?

come on,bruh. you dont believe that.

so you're agreeing with me?
if multiple people have told him and he still reverts back then how is that on the OF?

if this were the case then every qb at a p5 program and every nfl qb would have great footwork.

it's not easy changing a habit youve had for almost 2 decades.

agreed. it was time for a complete change on offense.

You're one of the most clueless MF'ers on here and a waste of space to debate with. "I'm agreeing with you." Yeah, right okay then. Lol

And I never said Cameron missed the foot work issue, you did, I said he didn't really bother to fix it as he was to distracted doing other bullshite (really nothing). Lol

I think had he stayed with Canada here he would have started. I think Canada would know how to use him and he would have competed for the job last spring.

you said......

which proves that Cam could've been coaching Harris the entire time om his footwork but he just reverts back into the bad habits.

all these other people have told Harris and he still reverts back.

trying to have a cordial back and forth.

but by all means continue to think you on your couch caught something that a
10 year NFL Offensive Coordinator missed or refused to try to change.
