An even more interesting question is who would the SEC replace LSU with

GA Tech, but they wouldn't leave the ACC because of the basketball prestige.

i just bought 'movetothebig12.com' and .net and .org. i can have a site up in a day or two. i know everyone at all the sports blogs. we will get noticed. we should get arkansas fans in on this too. id rather not move of course, but silve needs to know this is bullshite. we are LSU. were not some fricking rec team used to prop up alabama.

It isn't just the calls Saturday which should be reason to give serious thought to another conference. All other conferences have a round robin between divisions, the SEC assigns a permanent opponent, is is very beneficial to Alabama & Auburn for LSU to have Florida. The week before our 2 biggest games our opponents have byes.

Since Tennessee is Alabama's permanent opponent, if their program become a contender again look for a round robin to be put in.

Surely you guys aren't suggesting LSU's traditional second-week bye was an intentional act of sabotage.

i just emailed a programmer friend about building a quick but professional looking site. im also tired of being stuck on cbs. and a big 12 affiliation would help our recruiting in Texas. damn, i was joking at first but now Im kind of excited about the idea.

I also recall LSU getting shafted in post-season play without the backing of the SEC. Once when Miss. St. jumped LSU to make a post-season tourney (on Slive's watch), and when LSU was "penalized" for losing the SECCG and allowed to fall all the way down to the Peach Bowl (while lesser teams earned more lucrative bowl bids).

Yep. Steve Spurrier said LSU was screwed by the SEC that year because we should have been in one of the New Year's Day bowls. It's bad when we have to rely on a coach from another school to point that out.

Excellent point. The opponents should all rotate. Our playing FL each year is a killer.

Ask toolame - they left the SEC - ask them if they regret it. Still, today.
