re: Former LSU QB Buddy Lee Died - wil
He was injured in the 2nd half against Ole Miss in 69. Ole Miss mad a great comeback to win while he was out. That was the closet Charlie Mac came to a Nat'l Championship. They were unofficially invited to play a 10-0 Texas in the Cotton Bowl (which was how it was done then). When Notre Dame broke...

re: All-Time Saints BUST team--must be drafted by team - wil
I think Sam Holden was injured severely in the old college all-star game when the SuperBowl Champions (in this case the Pittsburgh Steelers) played a group of 1st and 2nd round picks. Not so much a bust as just rotten luck, Maybe Cam Cleeland was the better choice as the TE pick?...

I hate to admit it, but if I'm Harris'father, I'm telling him to transfer. I just don't think the young man will ever get a fair shot....

Thanks for the correction (seriously). To me, it just reinforces the QB problems with Coach Miles. ...

re: "Miles can't develop a quarterback" - wil
Unless Jimbo Fisher worked with the QB's when he stayed for 1 year after Saban left. Then, it's: Russell-2 years with Saban, 1 year with Jimbo Fisher, 1 with Miles Flynn-2 years with Saban, 1 with Jimbo Fisher, 2 with Miles Sorry, but our QB play has been a problem with Les Miles. ...

The DB held Meachums left arm before the ball got their which was why the ball bounced off Meachums chest....

re: Miles vs Charlie Mac - wil
Mac never had the talent Miles does and he got scr*wed out of playing for the Nat'l Championship in 1969. More importantly, Mac's teams did not have the endless errors and mismanagement that Miles does. You can't accuse Mac of gross clock mismanagement, repeated mental errors, and having players no...

re: Explanation of last 30 seconds of 1st half? - wil
What if he breaks a long play that gets LSU into FG range but doesn't score a TD? Then there is no time left on the clock to kick the FG. The call doesn't make sense to me. ...

re: Predictability of LSU on Offense since 2008 - Why the box is stacked - wil
Cpt. Bengal, Would it be accurate to interpret your data like this: For 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 so far, LSU ran the ball at least (about) 70% of the time on 1st down? Without info. on the distance needed for a 1st down, it seems hard to make any inferences on tendencies on 2nd and 3rd do...

THat stat says it all. Good/excellent RB's aren't given the ball so a QB who has difficulty throwing can be a running back. ...

re: Who can answer these simple questions? - wil
7. You can't compare Saban and Miles. No matter what people think of Saban, he is a great coach and strategist who plans out every detail. Miles still has problems managing timeouts and knowing what down it is. 1-2. I don't know that the players who stayed were ready for the NFL. 3. I t...

Miles wants to run the ball. He'll always want to run the ball. Expecting him to change is a waste of time. Nothing is going to change. IMHO, it's really sad. ...

re: What the hell happened to this defense after being pretty good last year? - wil
Absolutely right. We lost Jabari Greer, and instead of spending big money on a quality NFL CB, we spent $54 million on a safety. We only have one starting caliber NFL cornerback, and it's killing us. This staff and front office is usually great at free agency, but it looks like they were wrong he...

Musberger is the worst. I mute the TV when he is on. Every team and player he talks about is the greatest, most spectacular, incredible or unbelievable team/player ever in the history of the world. Every game is one of the greatest he's seen. And he never shuts up. The SOB makes me ill. ...

I dont think the Saints called 1 of those. Why would they. Peyton called time out at 2:28. Its not sh*t. nobodies paying attention cause we we won, but the refs blew it. If you have it on DVR, check it out....

Thats what I thought at first, like at NE, but they called 2 more time outs after 1:58. The clock was stopped 5 times including the 2 minute warning. They either got 4 time outs or the refs blew their clock management. ...

ATL got 4 time outs. - wil
Anybody else catch this: The clock stopped at 2:14 after a run. Atl called time out. Saints completed a pass in middle of field. Clock stops at 2:03-even on the defensive penalty, the clock should have run down to 2 minute warning if ATL doesn't call time out. Clock stops again at 1:58 but AT...
