This is a load of shite. 10 years later and I would still without thought rather the intense hell raising skirt chasing advising nick saban. Miles is a goofball who loses 3 times a year with superior talent.

Well Saban has lost 2 games each of the last 2 seasons himself with superior talent. You can't get more superior talent than the streak of #1 rated classes Alabama has had the last several years.

Yea I agree with you at the highschool and under level. College football as LSU runs it, is a business! Make no mistake about it at the SEC level, its all about W's. These kids are coming to LSU for two reasons 1) to get a good "free education" 2) to have chance at the NFL.

Wow !!

You do follow football? You did see the SEC teams that got our ashes handed to us last year. Or maybe you just don't watch football if LSU is not playing.

Les may be one of the most likeable guys coaching NCAA football but he is not the best college football coach in the business. If likeability is the rule of thumb then sure, Les is guy you want but don't fool yourself into thinking Les is the best LSU can do.

As much as I dislike him the tool coaching in Columbus, Ohio is pretty damn good at what he does.

The dude has 3 NCs, but he isn't beyond reproach. The shite that went on at Florida under his watch was some of the most embarrassing crap I've ever witnessed.

quote:

Those charged included safety Jamar Hornsby, who was accused of ringing up 70 fraudulent charges in 2008 on a credit card that belonged to a woman who died in a motorcycle crash. He had also been charged with property damage and criminal mischief a year earlier.

Ronnie Wilson, a lineman from Meyer’s initial 2005 recruiting class, punched and spat on a man, then opened his trunk, grabbed an AK-47 and opened fire outside a nightclub in April 2007, a police report charged. He was later arrested on charges of marijuana possession and of battery and assault.

Safety Dorian Munroe was charged with felony theft, accused of removing a parking boot affixed to his car. Safety Tony Joiner was charged with breaking into an impound lot to retrieve his girlfriend’s towed car. Defensive end Jermaine Cunningham was arrested after an altercation with an employee at the sandwich shop Jimmy John’s.

Other arrests involved a starting defensive end, Carlos Dunlap, accused of driving under the influence before the conference championship game; a starting cornerback, Janoris Jenkins, charged with resisting arrest; and a substitute running back, Chris Rainey, accused of sending a text message to a former girlfriend that read, in part, “time to die.”After Hernandez’s recent arrest, his time in Gainesville received renewed scrutiny, with reports that he ruptured a man’s eardrum during the fight in 2007 and that he did not cooperate with the police after the shooting in 2007.

quote:

Jenkins, the cornerback, eventually left Florida for North Alabama after Meyer’s successor, Will Muschamp, dismissed him from the team after marijuana arrests. Several months later, Jenkins spoke to The Orlando Sentinel about his dismissal.

“If Coach Meyer were still coaching, I’d still be playing for the Gators,” he was quoted as saying. “Coach Meyer knows what it takes to win.”

In his first season without Tim Tebow, Meyer managed just 8 wins and left the program in shambles for his successor, Will Muschamp. In true outstanding fashion, Meyer sat out one year for "health concerns," then bolted for Ohio State, the only other program in the country besides LSU with exclusive proximity to one of the most talent-saturated states in the country.... where he needs only to beat Mark Dantonio every year to win the B1G title and a playoff appearance.

Meyer is an opportunist. Nothing more.

We have a great coach. It's unfortunate a small vocal group of our fan base has Saban envy, a silly reality. Fans will be fans.

I would rather the guy who doesn't sacrifice his integrity to win a title... 31 arrests and two national championships in 6 years.

I have a great deal of respect for Meyer as a coach... I have no respect for him as a leader of young men.

Just because he has gotten some kids that cant stay out of trouble does not mean he is not a great leader of young men. I have heard many former players say hes a great person and role model. Sure, Les is a good person, just not a good coach.

At least it actually worked when Meyer sacrificed his integrity to win a title.
Miles did it for Jefferson and all we got was 1/9.
