after seeing every team, the title is LSU's for the taking it would appear. the best teams appears to be LSU followed by ASU, Arkansas, & Virginia.

LSU definitely looked to be the most poised team in round one. With Coleman against Arky, I believe LSU goes to the title series with a win tomorrow.

The opponent is kind of irrelevant IMO unless it is USM. LSU has the best 1-2 punch IMO and a very good bullpen, yet underrated. If LSU stays relaxed at the plate, no one can beat us.

LSU will have to keep the bats going. I like Coleman and think he is one of the tops in NCAA but he will give up a couple of runs even in a pretty good outing. We just have to keep the bats humming along and I like our chances.

After watching all eight teams play, I think the only team in LSU's caliber is Arizona State...unless LSU falls apart, this is who I think we play for the championship..

Teams look best in this order:

LSU
ASU
Arkansas
Virginia
UNC
Texas
CSF
USM

And, of course, I picked LSU-ASU back when we had that thread going.

Ya'll need to listen to me more about sports.

Coleman is good about giving a Homerun single...

I would drop texas below CSF. That game tonight was terrible. Rice is better than Texas, I think you could make a case that Minnesota was too.

I would put ASU ahead of LSU at this point, just taking the 3 game champ. series into account.

Not so fast, Meauxjeaux! Can't base this on just one round of games. LSU didn't look like the best team in the SEC Tourney after the first day, but we knew better. That said, here's my order:

LSU
Arkansas
ASU
CSF
Virginia
UNC
Texas
USM

Texas looked as underwhelming as usual (#1 seed my arse)and the only reason they aren't last is because USM walked in the winning run tonight.

Arkansas swept ASU earlier this year and they beat the crap out of a VERY good CSF team. They're hot at the right time.

As for ASU's pitching in the championship series, I'll take the Pepsi challenge between LSU's staff and any other team's in the CWS this year.

I believe that it will be LSU vs. ASU in the finals, but I would like to see Coleman get some payback on UNC. We'll see!

If anything, consistency in hitting is what gives ASU the advantage over LSU. LSU's 1-2 punch at starting p is better than ASU's. But ASU's hitters are less vulnerable to pitchers changing from either side of the mound, mostly because ASU's hitters seem to be able to hit opposite field better than LSU.

If Anythony Ranaudo pitches like he did during the season, while the LSU bats continue to hit lefties like they have the last couple of weeks (and not poorly like they did during the season), LSU would have a decent shot at a 2 game sweep against ASU. Having those two things happen at the same time against ASU might be a big if though.

They are basically the same team, LSU just has a little bit more hitting. ASU's 1 and 2 are just as good as LSU's. I like our chances in a 3 game series with them if we get there.

UT is dogshit, they definitely did not deserve to win that game...that's about the 4th game this post season like that for them.

Um, you don't think UVA was on LSU's level? I certainly think they were.

If we dont win the title id consider this to be a failure on us and not being beat by a better team.

Team Rankings

1. Arkansas
2. LSU
3. ASU
4. Texas
5. CSF
6. South Miss
7. Virginia
8. UNC

I like the Hogs against ASU in the finals. Hogs are on a mission. Should be a helluva ballgame.
