Too heavy. Too slow. Can't defend. Major disappointment for all the hype.

Yep. I watched practically every minute of LSU WBB this season. I do not recall seeing HVL launch a turnaround jumper.

She was total trash. Couldn't shoot. Inconsistent.

Then this fricker of a trainer tries to do damage control by shitting on LSU and Mulkey. If HVL approved this message, I’ve lost some respect for her.

I doubt she approved this public message considering the way she limits access & is meaured/deliberate in the rare times she's given access, but this didn't fall out of the sky. This dipshit trainer likely heard it from her, but is too selfish protecting his future business to realize he's letting the cat out of the bag.

The whole team needs to get on a better nutrition plan and stay outta of the weight room and work on speed and agility drills this offseason with the exception of Flo Jo. They all looked heavier and slower than the previous year.

Perhaps they intended on using her the way described to the trainer, but had to adapt when they saw she was incapable.

Great players adapt & find a way

Sounds like a HVL issue

That's likely true. This guy is being defensive when he needs to let it go.

I'm going to be nice and say that this trainer is not very bright or good at his job if his goal was to make her an off the bounce shooter, because she was absolutely horrible in that aspect.

Also it looked like she lived in the gym doing squats and was slow. She couldn't get around hardly anyone to go off the bounce. She also couldn't drive and pass to save her life.

Safe to say this guy is trying to save his brand after his big project flopped hard on a national stage.

I don’t really have words to describe it but HVL plays like she cares way too much about her goofy scam artist trainer and his offseason drills and not enough about letting go and actually playing the game.

The way she tried way too hard to have good fundamentals while she got eaten alive by actual ballers irked me big time, she was 100% a problem on this team culturally with this dickhead stepping out there and saying that Kim fricking Mulkey didn’t use her right because his offseason drills should supersede what was actually going on with the team. Good riddance

What ever the reason she was a shell of herself from her Louisville years. She did not turn out like we thought or LSU was hoping for. I will say this her trainer speaking out can’t help our recruiting. We already missed out on just about everyone we wanted in the 2024 cycle. Gonna have to hit the portal.

I have a lot of thoughts, but am worn out by the drama surrounding the women’s team (not all their fault).

I’ll just agree with this.

Trainer trying to cover his arse and protect van lith. Mentions 3p. She was under 30% at Louisville her last year. Taking almost 200 3s for the year.
Issue is she is short for today’s game and had issues with making the correct passes. Her assists to to ration did get better. But that isn’t hard when you had more to then assists previously.
Clark played defense on her. She couldn’t blow by. Clark was able to drop off and sit where she couldn’t make an easy entry pass. She wasn’t worried about a quick shot. And she wasn’t fast enough to drive by.

But was she a shell of herself. Or was she just the best Louisville had. Her numbers were not great at Louisville the last year by percentage. Under 30 for 3. More turnovers than assists. She did better her first 2 years.

She had the two best players returning from a national championship team. Another all American transfer in Morrow. And the top high school recruit coming in to play another guard position. Yet her camp still expected to come here day one and be handed options 1a or 1b? Seems a bit delusional. On a team full of all stars the last thing you need is a score first ball dominant point guard.

She shot 18% from the floor in the NCAA tournament and got a bunch of good looks because she was the 5th best scoring threat on the floor. She was terrible.

HVL didn’t live up to the high standards we have here at LSU for our women’s basketball players. We only accept the best of the best, and she wasn’t. I don’t want to hear any excuses from her, it’s obvious she isn’t LSU material.
