even in my head i thought Etling was much much better than BH.

That seems to be a consensus on this board...

I must have misunderstood what your point was last night, then. My fault.

I think it's an easy one to draw, but looking at the numbers it may not be the case. Like i said we will likely never know because BH probably won't play in our new system.

He was given 2 years as a starter and two off seasons to learn the same playbook and he still couldn't get it done.

I am sorry, in the real world, they don't give you two years to figure things out. They barely give you a grace period.

If you can't get it done, then next man up

Etling is a better QB with less arm strength

10000% Agreed. He stepped in when things were dire. He had something to prove from the first snap he took. He got rocked by blitzes and then would brush himself up and do it over again. He definitely earned my respect. He isn't the best QB, but he's tough and he has great work ethic. Brandon Harris has way more talent and ability, but never developed accuracy and is not composed under pressure.

What I'm going to say is very sad. But LSU has produced only two NFL caliber quarterbacks in 65 years. Bert Jones and Y.A. Title. You have no idea what youre talking about.

OK smartass..Tell me ONE LSU QB that was good in the pros besides these two..

Come on FACT BOY...

As the saying goes, pressure busts a pipe and Brandon was the pipe. I pulled for Brandon but it became obvious he could not handle the magnitude of the game and the pressure affected his mechanics and decision making virtually making him totally ineffective.

Can he now give a review on Bama's QB problems this year? After all, Bama is perfect in all they do.

Thats not what he said.
He said lsu has created only 2 nfl caliber qbs since 1965.
That extremely false.

Any of the 11 lsu qbs drafted since 1970.
No one said they needed to be great nfl players or even good nfl qbs.
Lsu has produced 11 qbs that the nfl deemed nfl caliber by drafting them.
Since 1970 no other sec program has had more qb drafted than lsu.
Thats a fact. Im sorry that facts doesnt support your opinion.

If you consider posting FACTS about miles as sucking his arse, youre dumber than i thought.
When i post Miles' win % and accomplishments at lsu, IT'S NOT DEFENDING. Its called reality. Im sorry reality doesnt fit your opinion.

If i said the earth revolves around the sun, am i defending the sun?

Strange

Its only strange if you dont know shite about running a cfb program. Even with his philosophy he was the most successful coach in lsu history.
I wont be a football ignorant poster and act like 1 bad aspect of coaching makes a coach a bad coach.

You really need to learn what a fact is.
