As long as we don't have to contend with the Troy's out there you're probably right.

Take out 7OTs and it's worse than like 9 Miles offenses.

I watched us lose to 2 other teams that both had first year head coaches in “rebuilding years” that had less talent than LSU.

If Bama was our only loss each year, the “we can’t beat Bama” argument has merit. The problem is we are still losing to other teams we should be beating.

This happens to every team. Hell it happens to Bama every time they lose a game.

And this is part of the problem -- our own media guys refuse to give O any semblance of credit, or any benefit of the doubt. I'm not saying they should pump sunshine and spread propaganda, but try and proffer something positive and stop playing the broken record that this program is "oceans" off the mark. It's undermining everything the coaches are trying to do. It also makes locking down the talent in the state that much more more difficult.

I usually like what Hanny has to say, but this isn't helping.

NCAA Total Offense Rank

2018 - 68

Better?

So 68th in offense for 2018 ends up being good enough to go 10-3 & number 7 in the final poll. You are comparing LSU playing in the SEC against teams in ridiculously weak conferences and you know it.

Doesn't both years of stats include the same data set? IOW, 2015's also included "ridiculously weak conferences?"

Some of you nimrods apparently follow LSU in a 1 game season. This board never ceases to amaze with idiocy from the Rantards.

I watched the entire season. We got shut out by Bama at home (again), and lost to two other SEC opponents with lesser talent, one of whom we lost to for the first time since they joined the conference. We finished third in the SEC West. O's recruiting classes are ranked lower than his predecessor.

Perhaps you'd care to explain how O is closing the gap against Bama?

What? Did you watch the game on 11/3? You realize we didn't score a single point, right? At home. For the second time in 3 years.

Did you not watch the National Championship game? Judging a team off one game is ridiculous.

But there’s also an ocean of difference between Oklahoma and Alabama, yet the Sooners coach just received a $6 million contract extension.

And the Sooners coach realized he needs to get better on defense to win trophies so he replaced his DC. And O, . . .

To be fair he said this in private conversation but sometimes constructive criticism has a positive impact. There's nothing wrong with pointing out areas that need improvement.

The problem comes in where people make a blanket statement and say coach E needs to be fired because the offense was terrible. Well why was the offense terrible? Could another coach faced with the issues facing this coach done any better? Is the coaching staff doing anything to remedy the problem? Most people don't get past blaming the coach. If a person can't articulate what it would take then it's hard to claim that it's constructive criticism.

Because 2 shutouts = 1, the latter coming off a win at their house vs their best D ever.
