Because the media expected nothing from the 2018 team so they vastly out performed their expectations.

Honestly do you not think this team was good enough to beat Florida or A&M?

I think There was 1 team on our schedule better than us but we finished 10-3

Roger get the frick outta here with that. Paul Finebaum said it best - they are paid to entertain. Paid to give you their "hot take." Paid to create an argument about something having to do with sports that will capture your attention.

They are paid to tell stories. Since it was their story to begin with that LSU was playing an impossibly difficult schedule - it would only make sense that they give LSU credit for going 10-3 as to not point out that they were woefully wrong about teams like Miami, Auburn, Miss State etc.

“Good enough” “better than us”. How are you coming up with these terms? Florida was better than us that day. They were pressuring Burrow the whole game. Not even going to address the A&M game for obvious reasons.

Was Bama not good enough to beat Clemson? How about every game Bama has lost the last 5 years. They had more talent in every game.

Point being, every single year teams lose to other teams they “should beat”. If the favorite won every game, Vegas would go belly up.

So what’s your point?

shite happens can’t blame anyone for it?

It’s literally our coaches jobs to take the talent and put it in a position to win games.

Missouri shellacked Florida.
Kentucky best Florida

This team was a 4 win dumpster fire a year ago.

We got flat out coached on every level.

Sure man, if it doesn't fit the narrative...

It blows you away that most people see it differently than you.

Yet, for the past 8 years - we have not beaten Bama and talent has been closer than some will admit some of those years.

Sure because thisnuear they had a great coach

But they haven’t had a top 10 recruiting class since 2014.

Maybe Mullen outdualed Aranda but at least that’s a battle

Graham pistol whipped Ensminger.

And Les makes the title game more than twice with easier schedules and we aren't even having this conversation.

They're 12th in talent in 247's composite talent ratings. 4th in the SEC

6. LSU (90.12)
12. Florida (88.26)

Ok, I feel Like that makes my point that we’re a more talented team.

And that they don’t have too 10 talent

State had the 2nd ranked defense. They weren't a push over.

Auburn defense was ranked 14 two spots behind bama

Miami's defense was ranked 18

None of the three were give me games.

Ms state had a better defense and a better offense than LSU yet LSU managed to beat them and ended up with a better record.

We held them to 3 points.

Miss state was the extreme version of our team.

Nope. LSU had no answer for their speed off the edge. That goes back to not having enough athleticism at the tackle position and some of our blocking schemes which put a running back or tight end blocking elite edge rushers. Hopefully it gets fixed in 2019.

Grantham? And how so? Main problem that game is we couldn’t protect the QB. Led to turnovers. Not saying E was perfect but “pistol whipped” is a joke.

Negligibly.

We should have beaten them this year.

We scored 19 points and couldn’t pick up any blitzes.

This was a team that gave up 36 to Missouri and 28 to Kentucky, and we couldn’t figure out how to score 21

Don’t come at me and bring a “we had no talent” arguement.

We were talented enough to score on UGA.

And that’s my point

These things happen but we fired Les and hired O to make them happen less.

O is still losing at least 2 games a year he should win.

And I think Anlargenpartnofnthatnis that O hasn’t figured out how to fix the offense.
