1 in 7, not bad.

Sticking with the run was smart tonight. We almost blew it by passing when we had the ball with over a minute left. It went from us possibly getting a FG to win if things went right to UF possibly winning in a matter of seconds.

I think his point was that LSU hasn't developed a passing game and that's not a good thing. We threw to the fullback many times, but didn't attempt to throw to one of our talented RBs once. It's weird. Yes, we did complete the FB throws, so that was good. But come on...

I honestly don't understand this fanbase. Florida is one of the worst teams in the SEC, and they essentially gift wrapped the game for us tonight.

Yet, because we won, half the fanbase wants to act like our previous problems have suddenly been resolved, when, once again, we won despite displaying the exact same deficiencies.

The way the OL was blowing Florida off the line I would not have thrown any and ran the ball everytime.

Some of us are paying attention.

Why does a school like LSU consistently have no competent QB. Since Miles has been here, he has lucked into inheriting JaMArcus and Flynn, and then lucked out when MEtt got kicked out of UGA. Other than that, zero QB production from one of the top schools in the SEC. I want some of Les' nut hugging sunshine pumpers to explain that.

Not easy to explain--it's certainly one of Miles' flaws. I think the biggest reason is just the nature of the position--it's hard to predict. Florida is on the same level as LSU and they've missed on everybody since Tebow. It's hard to predict. And only 1 really plays. Combine that with the egos that usually have to go in to a successful QB, and you've got people transferring after the 1st hint they won't start for 3 years. Because of the egos and the fact that only 1--hopefully--plays, the nature of the position lends itself to this.

You keep saying "a school like LSU"--I think - school like LSU probably is able to recruit guys who want to be the man. Once they realize they aren't, they bail. Often, too soon. I. Not excusing Miles and staff. Like I said earlier, this is a flaw in the staff. But who are all these programs that just keep rolling QBs in and out with little to no drop off? I posit they don't really exist.

I wonder if people realize that a team can run the ball well AND pass the ball well.

It is possible. Just not at LSU.

I understand that there will be years when QBs just aren't as good.

But what program of LSU's stature has struggled as much as LSU.

Again, I'm not talking about having 3000 yard, 30 TD guys every year, but GOD DAMN, outside of Mett last year, the QBs that Les has brought in can't even complete 50% of their passes with any regularity.

Surely decent coaches could get guys to just do that, right?

I do see teams like Georgia, even when they don't have a Murray or a Stafford, have at least a functional QB

Great example. They don'r always have world beaters, but they always have guys who look like game day is NOT the first time they have ever lined up behind center.

Literally zero people feel this way. Zero. Nobody thinks everything is perfect or that we can't get better. We choose to enjoy the wins and enjoy the ride. That is the healthy response. I don't get a ring either way. Do you? Do you put a championship on your resume? You ever held the national championship trophy? If not, who the frick are you to not enjoy the ride? Not only do you have an over inflated sense of self worth, but you are pr....you know what...frick it. Do what you do, playa

How about LSU being able to run for 195 yards on Florida when everyone knew this team was going to run the ball.

that's kind of the point for me. Think what we could run for if everyone didn't know we were going to run the ball. Oddly enough, Florida didn't really stack the box tonight, at least not as much as other teams have.

Cruising the channels today. Every single quarterback I saw, is heaps better then the QB situation at LSU these past 5 years except for Mett.

Ole miss. MSU. BAMA. Auburn. AnM. Baylor. OK. TCU.

the lack of talent lsu consistently struggles with should be alarming.

What's his winning percentage in those 7 years? It's frustrating to watch at times but of its close going to the 4th quarter that dingy at times son of a bitch pulls a win out an sticks it in you negatives whiny arse face. I love that crazy bastard for doing that, like he did tonite.

Les's philosophy is to have a QB who is a game Manager, not a playmaker, not sure how many times you people need this explained to you

Because Les makes it damn near impossible.

I can take losing, I just can't take incompetence and lack of preparation.

Georgia was the one team I thought of--they develop QBs better than almost anybody. That hasn't won them a whole lot of championships either btw. Certainly less than us. Who else though? Who are all these programs "like LSU" that LSU falls so far behind?
