Pretty sure that was an opinion question... Not sure why you're so defensive

I disagree with the OP and many of you. From a hype standpoint, sure, but I just don't see a phenomenal player in him just yet. Sure he had potential, but he hasn't been as great to watch as most would have guessed. He just doesn't have that killer instinct in him that many, and all of the top 4 mentioned, have.

Don't mistake unequivocally having the right answer with defensiveness.

Pistol set national records that will never be broken, Simmons in no way can be compared to him.

Bens attitude is really holding him back he takes off lots of possessions when the balls not in his hands. TQ has caught the same illness. Those two can't play together and that really holds us back Answer to OP Fuk NO.

How many NCAA tournaments did the Pistol play in?

Using the logic of some of these experts, Rabb, Mauck, and Flynn would be the in the top five football players.

IMO, if Simmons had played on the team with Chris Jackson we would have at least made the final four.

No. Down vote me. No no no no no. He is very good. He needs to stay another year to grow stronger. Too much hype for all these players in today's media. Sorry.

Wow at people and these comments.

1) it's not the 5 best careers at LSU, it's a starting 5 you would roll out on the court.

2) Ben Simmons is aberaging 20/13/5/2 and people are saying he needs to work on his game and he hasn't proved anything yet? GTFO.

Also Ben is doing this in the college game which has no spacing on the floor compared to the pro game. When he has room to move down low, watch out.

"Mediocre people don't like high achievers."

This sums up LSU's fanbase. We have two of the greatest players in their perspective sports and all our fans like to do is bring them down.

Sorry we don't agree. I have watch LSU Bball since 1978. That doesn't make me right. On the mentioned team of Shaq Pettit Jackson and Pete I would choose Macklin right now and probably a couple others based on body of work.

Dude, your the dumbass that compared LeBron not making the NBA playoffs to LSU not making the field of 64.

"analogy"? LeBron will play for 20 yrs, Simmons will be here 1.
