I'd like A&M. With the number of LSU alums living in Texas I think this could be a great rivalry.

A&M. Long history including military histories. Aside from West Point, more US Army Officers came from LSU and Texas A&M, up to WWII.

I'm younger and only seen LSU play A&M once. Arkansas LSU games the last 10 years have been highly exciting, meaningful, and competitive. Not to say games with A&M woulnd't , but I view R'Kansas as LSUs end of year rivial because it's all I have come to know.

Saying that, it makes more sense to have Mizzu/R'kansas play end of year and LSU/A&M because of geography. Seeing as how right now Mizzou is in the east does that effect the thought process when pairing end of year rivalries?

I'm good either way though. Football will be played.

A&M because I want a nice change from Arkansas. In all honesty I believe LSU's season should end with Ole Miss, but that's my personal prefers.

A & M is a real rival, just haven't played on a regular basis in a while. So the Aggies, hands down.

A&M...Arkansas was forced and never really felt real to me. A&M...there is true hate there.

A&M is an actual rival and not "forced"..still not sure why we stopped playing in early 90's...I for one am glad to have them back! Bye Arky...have your rival with Mizzou now!

Yes. In fact, that is what is driving the change.

The following SEC teams have long-standing committments on Thanksgiving weekend:

Bama-Auburn
Ole Miss-MSU
UK-UT
USC (Clemson)
UGA (GT)
Florida (FSU)
Vandy (10 year contract with Wake)

That leaves A&M, Arkansas, LSU, and Missouri to account for on Thanksgiving weekend. Since Missouri is in the east, in order to avoid Missouri and A&M having open weekends on Thanksgiving week (something the conference will try to avoid), Missouri has to play Arkansas that week, since they are the only one of the other three teams that will be on Missouri's schedule every year. That means A&M and LSU will play on Thanksgiving weekend by default (time to be determined).

aTm is the renewal of a truly great rivalry. Anyone who witnessed ten or more of thos games would say the say. What sweetens the pot is there are quite a few LSU alums living and working in Texas, and vice versa with all the aTm grads working in La. Lot of office betting goes on for those games. It'll be fun; not that whacking the Hawgs isn't always a pleasure.

I think bringing back the rivalry with A&M would be awesome, but that doesn't mean we have to boot Arky out of the last game to do it.

I see what you did there...
